Do you prefer fillers or taking a short break

The common problems with all long running anime shows that made based on manga is the near gap between anime and manga. As we know that if the anime must wait for the manga to progress much further for it to be made into anime. But, usually when the gap almost reaching the manga, the anime usually inserts it with fillers that usually have original stories and characters that can't be found in the manga. But the problem is, sometimes the fillers is taking too much episodes and also the stories is become very boring and also strange. The example of this is Naruto that until this day the story is still in the filler and i think the fillers stories are too bad. There is also anime that taking a break when the story is nearing the manga. The example is Nurarihyon no Mago. For me, i think it is better for the anime to take a break for some time so the story wouldn't getting bad. Or if they want to continue it, at least make a better filler story so it wouldn't make the viewer feels bored. What about your opinion?

I think filler episodes are just time wasting. The storyline did not follow what the manga is showing. Lets take for example Naruto, the anime is way far from what the manga is now but still they still continue to add fillers. With this, some manga chapters will now be excluded and their will be lots of skips. I just don't see the point why fillers are added especially if the story is out of the current story.

Naruto fillers are frustrating especially for us who are excited and thrilled with on-going manga series. I think its bad for all of us and it should be stopped.

Naruto anime fillers are one of the worst fillers i've ever seen. All of the fillers stories are very bad and also it continue for a very long time. Many of my friend already giving watchin its anime and only continue reading its manga because of those fillers. I think they should take some break for Naruto anime because the filers are not making sense anymore.

Yeah, every Naruto fans must be very hate the fillers. I can't believe they made such bad filler stories for a great anime like that. I really wish they realize this and find some solutions for that. If not, i think many Naruto fans will stop watching Naruto anime anymore.

I dislike filler, mainly because I want the complete story, not padding.

Thanks for commenting reviewmemedia.. Yeah actually i dont like filler too because they kind of wating time. But to make the anime can still running every week and if the story is too close with the manga, they need to fill it with fillers. So from your comment, you suggest that anime should take some break when its story too close with the manga's story right?

I honestly do not mind fillers actually. It's there to tide people over, amuse some, and whatnot while waiting for the main plot to continue. Some people watch an anime more for the characters themselves, than for the plot, so for these people, the more the merrier. Even if I don't like all the fillers of a certain anime, it's okay because people have a choice whether or not to watch it. xD And you don't have to watch them in any specific order unless it's a two parter or something. . .fillers are a great way to kill time when you're bored lol. Just my two cents, if you feel somehow compelled to watch all the episodes because you have to, then that's on you. xD I personally love strange fillers, I have a peculiar sense of humour. :)

So, you love those fillers YamiKiba. ^_^ Actually i don't mind if there are some fillers, but i don't like it if the fillers are too long or the stories getting too much out of main plot. Because of this reason, sometimes makes me hate the anime and never came back to watch it again. But, if you like strange fillers i could reccomend you Naruto Shippuden's fillers. It's quite long and strange fillers. ^_^ Thanks for commenting and happy mylotting...

It really depends for me. I don't necessarily mind filler episodes as long as it doesn't drag on or is so frequent in a series that you lose sight of what the actual series is about. A good example would be the Naruto anime. I was fine with that show until all those fillers popped up. I can understand that this is to keep our attention on the show but at the same time it was really a mood killer. Those fillers are one of the main reasons why I refuse to continue watching that show. It totally killed it for me. Going on hiatus sounds like a good idea but it also has its downside. For one, if the show takes too long to air again people would forget about it. Some might go back and review from the previous season but there are fans out there who would quit watching if they don't know what's going on.

I don't watch Naruto anymore because of the reason you mentioned above. The fillers are too long and the stories are very bad. For me, Naruto's fillers are one of the worst fillers i've ever seen. Hiatus or taking break would be has its downside like you said, but i guess its better than forced the anime to keep airing with those stupid fillers like Naruto. Besides, before taking break they could show the viewer some preview if the anime going to take some break and will continue in about three or more months. With this, i think will make fans know that the story will continue latter. Thanks for your comment saizo6 and happy mylotting.. ^_^

Some filler is good, but a lot of it is bad. I won't even touch on all of the shounen series of this day and age where not only the anime but the manga feel like 80% filler. Oh, I miss ye olden days, where filler happened but once every few episodes, and series didn't feel the need to drag on for hundreds of chapters and series. I understand that companies want to capitalize on the popularity of a manga and make it into an anime early on, but they would benefit to wait a bit before doing so to minimalize the filler episodes.

You probably right. Shounen anime these days, especially the long running one are all already filled with fillers. Just when the story move a litter farther it will inserted by fillers again. I think before making some manga into anime. they must at least wait for the manga to proceed for five or six years. Many of them now only wait for two or three years, i think because they wanted to make profit as soon as possible.

I believe that an anime should go for a break or waiting period in order for it to follow the story of manga. I don't really like Animes to purposely drag the story to a few hundreds of episode without anything in it. It will be wiser if the author would plan the story properly so that the story is interesting from the beginning to the end. One such anime where the beginning is kind of interesting but after that things become really boring and nonsense is the old time Ranma 1/2.

Well i think the anime company wanted to make more profit by prolong the anime as far as they can. If they taking a break, they wouldn't get much profit anymore. That's why they all tried to continue the anime by inserting those fillers so that they still could make some profit from them eventhough it's kinda annoying for some anime fans.

I dont like fillers even at One Piece witch even filler is kind of interesting . But well i prefer a filler instead of the anime taking a break :D But yes the fillers mostly make me watch narutard once a year , because of the many fillers i do like to skip , same goes for bleach witch i watch twice a a year . But One piece and Fairy tail i did not skip because they are good and even if there is filler on One piece i watch it because its normaly good :D But i have plenty of animes to watch anyway :)

I guess you are right. The fillers of One Piece and Fairy Tail are a bit different than others anime fillers. The fillers is well made that make us the viewers didn't realize if it was a fillers. Especially Fairy Tail, i love that anime for having fast paced story, but it kinda make me worried too since the story of the anime getting too near with the manga.

I dont mind having a short break, for me it would be better so that avid fans like me can gain excitement while waiting for the next episode to be realised :)

Yeah sometimes a short break for the anime could be a better thing to do than giving it a strange story fillers. With taking a break, it also can give time for the manga to move furthers so when the anime will continue it wouldn't disturbed by fillers again.
