first thing you check upon opening your PC

Exactly! even though we are concentrating ourselves to do the work first but when we are facing our laptops or PC's we then are tempted to open facebook, mylot, emails etc. maybe because we all want to know what is new for that day, is their any news from friends and families. That is why we are so excited to open those things.

I start off with the internet explorer then go to my emails (both yahoo and gamil simutaneously)...Then comes mylot. I keep mylot open untill my pc is logged out. lol..means even i work on something else i luv to glance at mylot now and then.

I always check my emails first, and I usually have a lot of things to go through then I have a quick look at my Facebook page then stright onto Mylot, it all becomes a habit.

hi, actually the first thing i will check upon opening of my computer is my email,i will check my email first follow by my Facebook account and Mylot account.then after that i also check my other social networking.

We are the same. I open the internet browser in order for me to start my surfing gladness. I first check my facebook account and then my yahoomail. After all those things, I will start earning online. But if I have an assignment to search, I do it first so that I will not be bothered anymore later on.

Haha, you just can't help it right? Previously, every time I open my pc, I would be looking for something to download on the web. After I get to know mylot like 2 weeks ago, the first thing I do when turned on my pc is Mylot. My favorite^^ I will check for replies, tasks, new discussion and my current cash etc. Then only I will move on to assignments, information gathering, power point presentation etc XD

It's amazing how much time we spend on just 'checking up' on things. I can literally spend hours on Facebook and Twitter reading what friends, bands, companies etc. are posting. Usually that's now the first thing I check, followed by my work and personal e-mail accounts and then news websites. It's kind of ironic because I am on a computer all day at work, and it's the same piece of equipment which distracts me the most!

I always check my email accounts first, because I belong to a lot of reward and survey sites, then check the news, and usually go to Facebook in the middle somewhere, then check my email accounts again, lol.

The first thing that I do when I open up my computer is to boot up my email and go through all of those because you just never know when you are going to get an important message from someone. The next thing that I do is to check facebook because I get a lot of messages through there as well. Then I will check my different earnings sites to see how much money I've been making because that always puts me in a good mood.

Usually when i open my computer in the office in the morning , i would go to my daily meditation. After that, i would then check on my emails and answer those urgent ones. After that, i will go to work on what are the things to be done relative to my job. Then, in my spare time, i would return to my emails and answer them one by one. If my works are all done have nothing else to do, i would sometimes go to Mylot. At night, while watching TV (during commercial breaks )i would also do some Mylotting. Addict?

Haha well being online is itself an addiction you hardly notice and time flies... Well it may be funny but when I open my pc I very first check on the task bar under hidden icons to check whether are there any program running or auto updating..I use 3G data plans now and these updates just consume a lot of data and I felt like cheated many times when the balance was deducted from my main account after the limit of my data plans. After making sure all updates are off I open yahooo messenger then chrome then mails on yahoo and gmail. My blogs on fanbox then my lot ..I hardly use facebook and twitter I have integrated their switches with my blogs or use stumple's bar extension to share stuffs on facebook and twitters but I rarely visit there now.

Hello zaga! The first thing that I check upon opening up my pc is Odesk. I look to see if one of my employers sent me updates regarding a project. Then I go and check my gmail. Through gmail, I check if anyone in Mylot commented or responded to me then I go ahead and open Mylot. ^^ Sometimes I check my gmail first before Odesk depending whether I am currently working on a project or not

hiiii...you are absolutely right...i agree with you.. Everyone when opens his/her pc the first thing that they do is check facebook then mails and then my lot account..... it's a addiction of peoples towards facebook and no one has got any secret method to get relief from it .....even i am with you who is searching for the same solution for which you are...:D :D

I guess all of us are just the same when it comes with internet usage. Me, I used the computer this night to make my project but where am I now? exploring the internet searching for things not related to my project. Every time I sit in front of a computer, the first thing I'm gonna do is to check my email then facebook and then mylot. I think this is my daily routine when I'm in front of a computer. We just can't easily change ourselves from this because this is how the technology change our lives.
