Fairy Tail film adaptation on August 2012!

Fairy Tail is finally getting a movie adaptation! The story is not revealed yet but the date has been set on when it will be released and it will be on August 18, 2012! That's too far from now but I'm still already excited!

Fairy Tail is about a magical guild with main protagonists Natsu and Lucy. The anime is based on a manga Fairy Tail by Hiro Mashima.

I can't read japanesse so i can't read any info from the link you give. ^_^
But if it was true, i'm very excited since i'm a fan of Fairy Tail too and this is a great news for me. Well it is still a long time before we can watch it, maybe more than a year from now since the movie will released in japan's cinemas and the others countries only can watch it after about six months from its release. Hope this movie is a great one.

Neither can I read and understand japanese. lol. But i believe that it is not that important for us to understand it then. The japanese folks are aware that so many do not communicate in their language. Everyone knows that by counting countries, it is english which is most used worldwide.

That's what's frustrating! The waiting for the release of the DVD and English subtitles. But I'm also hoping that it will be a great movie. The first OVA did not have much anything into it, it was disappointing. I hope they don't make the same mistake in the movie.

Well i guess you are right. No need to understand it, just knowing that the fairy tail movie going to release is good enough for me. But unfortunately, looks like everyone outside Japan could only watch it more than a year from now. Its because the movie will released at japan's cinema at august 2012 and we only can watch it when its released as DVD that could be out after 6 years of their movie premiere. Well, i hope this will be a great movie.

For Fairy Tail's fans it's a great news. But I am not really the fan of this story.Just like One Piece, both of these stories are great but I can't put myself to read their adventure story till now. Is it because the story is too long??? I don't know. Anyway the fairy tail's fans will be happy to hear this out.(^^)

Yeah, the story is long but there's always what we call, story arcs. The main story is still divided into different adventures. Well, I still understand what you mean, I felt the same way with Naruto.

hehe...between fairy tail, one piece and naruto..I still can stand to read naruto but fairy tail and one piece it seems that I lost every time I read the story. Same goes to bleach and other manga. I can only read the front chapters but when it go deeper I completely lost. But even if I don't fully know and understand everything I still read fairy tale chapters since the book my sister bought have various title of manga inside. Perhaps the different adventures makes me feel like crazy to catch up everything inside my head~(^^)

Oh, so you're a manga person! I'm not into reading manga because it's just too expensive for me to buy and I don't like reading online. But I like Natsu and a lot of other characters in Fairy Tail so I probably would be an avid reader of the manga. Still, sometimes I get tired of watching it, too. I just take a break when that happens.

Hi secretbear, my niece loves fairy tales as well as those fascinating manga tales 
Lol...I'm also very fond of watch fairy tales in manga. The characters look so attractive as well as the beautiful background. I couldn't help and share some of my feeling and I would like to have a look at the trailer visiting the link attached. There's not much in the trailer. All I understood was Lucy saying, "dare ka tasukete!" (someone help me!) and then Natsu was giving one of his powerful fire magic attacks.

My family is a good fan of fairy tail. lol. My youngest child even reads the manga. As for me and the older brother, and the sister whenever she comes over for a visit, watch the series with such gusto episode after episode.
We will never miss the movie. Many thanks for the update, secretbear.

Wow your family also like to watch fairy tail too, that would be an awesome experience. As for me, only me myself in my family like to watch it. Even my two brothers didn't want to bother watch any single episode i show them. Well thats okay since i still can enjoy it my self. ^_^

That is a great new indeed. I'm a fan of Fairy Tail and I'm looking forward to see this movie. Is it a 3d animation just like Tekken the movie or a live action? I am unable to watch anime recently since by internet connection is down and I'm quite busy at work, which is taking too much of my time. I missed MyLot and it feels good to visit this site again.

The movie is a 2D animation film. It would be interesting if they can make a live action adaptation of this anime though.

No. I think you misunderstood. It will not be a live action adaptation film. It would still be anime. It's an anime film adaptation.

yeah so i heard. but i cannot go to japan to see the movie. does the movie available in the internet to watch? i mean for free :) i really did hope to see the movie. i love how Mashima-sama portray Natsu and Lucy together. what could be the hidden mystery of the phoenix.

After its been shown in Japan, it will be released in DVD. Only then that it will be available in the internet. We'll just have to wait for it. Who is Mashima?

agreed,we have to wait for it to be on a DVD and ohh. hiro mashima is the mangaka (author) of fairy tail.
