what to give a gift for the boss?

Because Christmas is really near to us, in my work we are now preparing for the season holiday and one of this is having a Christmas party in our office and its by next week, and every year we doing some exchange gift, and our Big Boss are fist time to joining for our exchange gift, unlucky i pick his name and i dont have any idea what to give to him, he has everything in terms of materials and can buy what he need. SO i really having a hard time to pick what is the best gift that i can give to him. We have budget for that, its ok with me if i can spend a little higher on the budget that they announced, but i don't know what to buy. Can someone give me an idea what to buy for my big boss.
Any suggestion and idea really a big help for me to think what to buy.

Hello Mikaela_taz, I am not sure but it's better to know his line of interest when it comes to material things. then, think about the cheapest thing you can buy but probably he doesn't have yet. if you want something safe, you can always buy him a picture frame or an album. don't worry am sure he appreciates it no matter what the problem is.

Thanks LK for your suggestion. He is into basketball, but i don't know what to give in his interest aside from the ball. I was thinking also if i cant think of any gift is to buy a picture frame with his photo, but i don't have a picture of him. I was in the mall this afternoon to look for the best gift but still i can't decide what to buy. if i cant think of any gift i will probably buy a picture frame even without his picture.

My boss is big into sports so for me it's easy. I just buy stuff from her favorite teams.

He is into basketball also, but what can i buy with this kind of sport, personalized ball? i like also to give him a personalized but i don't know what to buy or give to him.
