Lately I had been avoiding meat, I know that I am already on a diet of chicken and fish and brown rice but I think the faster way is to just avoid the fatty stuff. I know that I should pump my body with protein since I am working out but lately I am focusing more on my cardio since i feel already too tired to pump iron after i jog so right now I'll try to avoid meat this whole week and see what happens from there I am really serious about loosing weight since it's already detrimental to my health so hope that my little experiment pays off.

We need to eat proteins and meat for some vitamins, but there is no danger to stop eating meat during a week. I am not sure you will see any result and I also think that the best way to lose weight is to avoid fat -- butter, oil, deep fat, delicatessen -- to force our corpse to use and burn its own fat to replace the lack of fat in food.

Corpse really, anyway thanks for the tip mam topffer i'll keep that in mind, cause really the body needs all the protein it deserves so that we can continue with our daily stuff as well as minerals to maintain the specials function of our most minute body parts to the largest of our our cadaver. thanks again topffer.

LOL! If we are talking of corpses and cadavers in this box, then I am not sure that I want to venture in here and add to the conversation. On the other hand, I am extremely interested to find out how Deodavid knows that Top is a "mam" rather than "sir"? Did you paint your wheelchair pink, my dear Top?

It is paint in red like a firemen emergency vehicle, because I thought you would not shoot on an ambulance.

Good luck with your experiment deodavid. I personally tried something like that a few months ago and found the cravings for protein to be too overwhelming. Be careful that this does not happen - it is easy enough to skip meat for a day or two, but soon the body will fight back, and if the craving gets too much and you eat a greasy burger on the third day, you have ruined your efforts... Also I found it interesting that you differentiated chicken and fish from "fatty stuff", which I take to mean pork and beef? I'm sure you're aware, but chicken and fish can be fatty too like chicken with the skin on or salmon etc. You can enjoy beef lean and still fit into healthy goals. Trimmed pork tenderloin is also just as lean as boneless skinless chicken. Anyway good luck with your goals and let us know how the experiment goes.

Hey pudgeftw, thanks for that, I know now that i can take pork and beef with leaner parts as my source of protein and not be stuck with chicken or fish. Hey it has been a couple of days since ive eaten meat, Im kinda surprised i have lasted for a while but your right and i know for a fact that the taste of meat can over power my desire to go temp vegetarian but hey that is why I call it temp veggie in the first place right so again my gratitude for your tip and i'll update you guys.

If you are trying to lose weight, then it is better to focus on cardiovascular exercises rather than weightlifting, anyway. The weightlifting will build muscle and help you burn more calories in the long-run, but it will not help you to lose weight or body mass initially ... it will just gradually change your body shape to more muscle than fat. The cardiovascular helps you to lose weight quicker, and then you can build the muscles after if you are looking to see results faster, although you could lift light weights with more repetitions in addition to doing the cardiovascular exercises, which would build the muscle more slowly but help burn more calories along the way.

Meat is a good source of protien. And eating it is good for you. Just remember to always try and eat baked fish or chicken, any kind of meat that can be baked. Studies show that eating baked food is healthier for our bodies, insted of fried greasy foods. You don't have to eat a huge amount of meat when you eat. A couple of peaces of chicken or fish should be enough to put on your plate, not 6 peaces. If you don't want to eat meat, then you always have the option of drinking 3 or 4 raw eggs, really good for protien. Some mix there eggs in a small shake, so the taste won't be so bad.
