Hi abhi285! The book as well as the author is popular. The book that I couldn't put down was 100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It was my first time to handle books about magical realism when I read that novel. Another books that I couldn't put down was the Harry Potter series. I read it even in the comfort room, hahaha. I have not read any Paulo Coelho novels yet. I want to read it but I don't have the time right now and I also do not have a copy. So, perhaps, I'll ask my cousin, girl_thinking, to lend me a copy.

The Alchemist is not mine. I actually borrowed it from Chito and I already returned it to him

Yes, the story of the Alchemist is own inspiring. You can get a lot of moral values in it. The words of Paulo is uplifting and powerful yet understandable. I am very happy to read also this book. This is one of the best book ever. No doubt it sold a lot of copies.

Hello abhi! I also enjoyed "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho. I like his style of writing because it is so easy to read and understand. He does not use "big" and "technical" words. I got inspired by this book after reading it. It makes me want to really follow and do something about my dream. You may also want to try reading his other books. I also enjoyed "Veronica Decides to Die", and "By the River Piedra I sat down and Wept". I will for sure try some of his other stories. His stories are just so inspiring

Oh yes, this story is a romantic one and a bit tragic if I remember it right. Reading Paulo Coelho's books makes me nostalgic for some reason I am glad you appreciate my response

the alchemist ,its about a person pursuing his dream. he sets of in search of a treasure which he saw in his dream and things he comes across his journey is written in the book. Its really inspiring with all the decisions he had to make rather than givin up.

If you enjoyed this book then you would probably enjoy too "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint Exupery. It has the same tone, pace, and general feel to it. These are just some of the books that is definitely better as a book than as film/movie.
