It's becoming a tradition lately showing horror movies during Christmas. I really don't know what to think about it. I have mixed thoughts on horror movies being shown during Christmas Day. Do you watch it? i've never really watched any of it. I find it ackward to watch it on Christmas day. What are your thoughts on these matter?

Personally I don't care when they play horror movies because I don't like those types of movies no matter when they show them. Whether it's on Christmas day or any other day I see no reason to go pay good movie to scare myself senseless until I can't sleep at night. With all the violence in this world you would think people would rather see something else at the movies.

I never used to watch horror movies because, they used to be confined to the likes of vampires and draculas thing. Nowadays, they have included so many facets already. However lately, they are mostly on vampires and zombies again. Not that good to watch anymore.
Some horror movies though are coming up once in a while. Like when they do those wrong turn thing. It gives us a lesson to take care of where we go. It is not good to be exploring places of the unknown. It is not good to be going into the houses of people who are not our personal friends. It is exposing ourselves to types of danger which are actually uncalled for and unnecessary.
|Another good thing is, it is making us aware for a fact to be ready with some gadgets which can be of help to us in times of emergencies.

horror movies have had their time during halloween or all souls and all saints day, Christmas for me should have a different theme, I remember when we were kids, our parents brought us to good quality movies during Christmas produced by Walt Disney, I also remember watching Holiday on Ice at the Araneta Coliseum.. Horror movies for Christmas? Oh God producers give us a break, there are other times for that

Hello Neriz,
That question was running on my mind the other night too. I was thinking why are they making horror movies on Christmas day, why not just make it on Halloween as it is the trend. But I think, since movie goers have money on Christmas day and the movie can be exposed more since there would be no international films around they would have more income. I think it is also good that there would be different genres on the film fest, there would be something for the kids, drama, comedy, and of course the horror films. I like horror films but I don't watch it on Christmas day. I would just wait for the dvd copy of it.

Any kind of movie will do good for me during Christmas. The goal their is just to entertain me and my family although it isn't Christmas related. The important thing to do in this season is not to forget to pray and attend mass. If we have done this then we don't have to worry if we are to watch horror movies or not. Just a thought.

I think that's because in the Filmfest, each category should be filled up. Now, since all other categories have been filled up except horror, when the producers scouted for the type of movie they have to make, they made the horror type.

There are so many people already in the world today. So, everything sells. That will include the idea of watching horror movies regardless of whatever occasion may there be around.
Personally, the day people call christmas day, is just another day for me. I don't see any reason why one who loves to watch horror movies will not do so on this day. However, those who are not into this type of thing, must never be influenced by horror movie fans to join in the fun with them.
Horror movies might have very bad effects on others whereas, there are some of us who just regard it with some shrug of their shoulders no matter how horrifying it may be.

I don't want horror movies even outside Christmas season. Horror movies can only invite negative things in your life. It can only glorify the devil because they are given importance especially during Christmas season which supposedly the focus is Jesus Christ. It's not good to watch horror movies.

I don't really understand why they have to make horror movies during Christmas season. When they can have it during all saints or all souls day.Christmas should be more happiness, family and gatherings, relationship and not horror.
Personally,i hate watching horror movies, much more when its shown during Christmas.
