based in my experience as a seaman it's hard to be an employee, but i find it hard also in being the boss. because as an employee the hard part is that you have more labor compared to your boss and less money earned, but the responsibilities that you have are not as big as the boss that's why you have that load off. and when your the boss, you have less labor, more money earned, but more responsibilities to maintain, which, if not taken care off, you could lose a very good reputation, and worst you could even endanger the lives of the people of your ship. So i guess they have their advantanges and disadvantages have a niceday

There is really no easy way. Everything is hard-earned. Yes, we could lose reputation if not done properly. I remember Spiderman's words: "With great power comes great responsibilities." This is so true

good day befrindwithme26, with reference to your main discussion, for me, it is not really hard to be an employee. the experienced that i have had for 16 years being an employee is really good. that i have gained a lot of learnings and experieneces. being an employee i have gained my competency in working doing a multi-tasking job. to tell you honestly, the last and the most recent job that i have had was being an administrator. being at this post is not that easy. as i need to do 5 types working responsibilities. wherein, i am only one. thus, i am doing a job good for 5 people. and i am proud to say that i was able to surpass that. and i am giving glory to God since He is the one who really done it all. and as the saying goes, no employee has been rich because of his work, the reason why i am redirecting my career now. i am trying to be an entrepreneur in the way i know as well as doing internet online jobs. with those above that i have wrote, perseverance is one of the main key to achieve it. for if you do not have any patient in doing such things, you will not be able to beat the pressures and stress. but, above all, prayer is the best answer. thru prayers, God will gonna lead us to the light of success. remember, there is no thing such as an easy work. as the work only becomes easy when we are putting the burden of it on our prayer. thus raising everything and every bits to God will make us work lighter. and will make us to work easier. cheers.

Hi friend, everyone has searching for a good job to have a better living. Yes, it is very hard to be an employee because of the work's pressure, mingling with colleague and bosses, sometimes there are problem arises at work and with co-employee and meets work deadline. The only advantages of being employed is you are receiving salary every 15th and 30th of every month plus the benefit that company could give for those regular employees. On the other hand, the good thing of not employed and managing a business of your own is, the profit of your good works will be given to you and you can manage your own time, because of being the boss of your own business. Just play it right with your hand and that's it your business will become a successful one and no bosses to scold you for the mistakes that sometimes could not be avoided. Have a nice day everyone....

Hello befrindwithme26, Rest of 3~4 hours/week is not sufficient though it depends as people do overtime if they find it hard to earn from 8 hours of working daily in a day in an offline job.You need to manage your time else it will be a problem for you in the future.

Too little rest is stressful. I think 3-4 hours per week isn't enough.

Employee must be stable and consistent in behaviors and productivity in order to benefit the company produce profits and positive outcomes. While most people have ups and downs, if these interfere with productivity and accuracy in their jobs. I think the part of "stable" is very hard. I've run my own business and employing people to do the job. But have big responsibility and more confuse than employee, they don't think about "profit"and"loss".

Your employees don't worry about the "profit" and "loss" because you are giving them a fixed and constant income. Employees should be motivated for them to work efficiently for you.

Yeah, it really is hard being an employee especially if you do not like your work or your environment. Being in those situations, I can only imagine the struggle that a person will have to endure just to prepare himself to go to work and finish an 8 hour shift. Being the boss, it does not mean that you have to deprive yourself of the needed rest and recreations that your body and mind need. If you are well rested, you can achieve more by having fresh ideas infused in your company. You can also try delegating some of the responsibilities to qualified family or company personnel. All work is not good for anyone. Learn to relax :)

We need to work moderately. "Work Smart" - this is what successful entrepeneurs do. they distribute the work to others to be productive. This doesn't mean that the entrepeneur will just watch and sleep. While the work is distributed, he is doing something productive also.
