John terry used to be one of the best english defenders in the world, but this season he is struggling to perform for chelsea and I do not see why.
I mean he is playing with the same players as last season, he is paid alot so surely that should motivate him. Is the reason he is playing poorly that he is not used to the new system being implemented by the manager? Other players like Steven Gerrard at Liverpool are able to play in different systems and adapt so why cant John Terry.
I think that if John Terry cannot adapt and pick up his performances for Chelsea that the England manager should drop him.

I think because john terry is older now it's starting to show he has started to slow down and really struggles to track back now, maybe chelsea should be looking at cashing in on terry and getting a younger player in

I think the problem with John Terry is his mobility. As long as coaches play their teams to suit his style i.e. a deep game where the mid fielders protect the back four, he is an excellent defender. But if the team plays a high line leaving the defenders to fend for themselves his lack of mobility is clearly visible and teams can hurt Chelsea. I think AVB tried to play the high line in order to play attractive football and has paid for it. So in the last two matches he played the deep line and the result, two 3-0 wins for Chelsea!!
Cheers!

John tery is good defender.
but he can`t fight the age..
and i think he had reached his golden era...and it make Capello think twice for putting him as central man for England in euro 2012..
Capello must try another player as central defender ...it`s for england too..

One reason that I can think of is his age. BPL is a tough competition and Terry is no longer able to performance as he used to during his heyday. Similarly, the same can be said of Ferdinand. Problem with Capello is that both his first choice defenders could no longer be depended and unless he is bold enough to given the likes of Jones, Jagielka, Lescott and Smalling a chance, England will have no hope at Euro 2012
