Why we human beings are so inhuman, cruel and merciless?

I read in my local newspaper that a tigress was killed by local residents in India, people called the forest officials but they came late, although informed by people a couple of weeks earlier and the forest officials failed to find the tigress. Why we humans are so cruel, do animals have no right to live life the way they want. We always hate stray dogs and beat them, but these dogs starve and had a lot of problems. I think if we can't give life to somebody we don't have any right to take it. Whenever we see any grasshopper or earthworm in our home we simply kill them, why can't we just throw them away? How come we have become so inhuman and cruel. We are only worried about our existence. God has given animals right to live who are we to kill them?

This is a tricky situation indeed, mostly because the tiger was a threat to the community and the forest officials didn't respond on time. I wouldn't blame the residence that killed the animal but my blame would shift to the officials for not responding on time yet knowing that a tiger is a dangerous animal to be around people. If I may ask you one question, if you find a tiger at your door step or just when you are walking along the street and you have the option between choosing your life and killing the tiger, what do you do and putting in mind that you sincerely know killing of animal is bad.

We're occupying their territory, we have destroyed their forests which were meant for them, so that is their place not ours. Residents are not to be blamed because they have saved their own lives which is everyone's right to do, but we have to understand that we are doing a lot of injustice to animals with what according to us feel right.

I think, if all creations are made by god only mankind is given with concerns about the feelings of other creations and about their existence. By creations itself many living beings are prey of other living beings. So mankind should find some reasons to think and bother about the necessity of the existence of other creations exceeding the consideration given to them by god. We must try maximum for the existence and well being of all other creations provided the existence of other creation in consideration isn't a threat to the existence of another creation.

I couldn't agree more, if human beings decide to keep equality I think we'd surely live in a better world than we're living at present.

Hello Shailesh,
That is really cruel the way we behave with the animals. They have the right to live on this earth as it is equally for them as for us human beings. No doubt tigress is a flesh eater and could have killed human beings there but its not her fault actually its our fault as we have left less space for animals to live quitely by occupying forests for our needs.

Couldn't agree more with you on this front, it's our fault that we have occupied land which belongs to them, we should let their land free and control our population than blaming animals.

Yeah, you are right. There are so many people who did something without having mercy to another. They did it cos they don't think deeply about the effects of their act, whether it will extinct the population of those animals or not, is it humanize or not (are those animals have the same right as human to live and balance the world), or is it good for the next generation by giving bad example whereas they said to their children to love all creations in this world).
Moreover, it is the reality of this world that there are many people who only think about themselves business without thinking others business, being so individualist and egoist. What a bad condition it is!
It is difficult to change other people mindset directly. The easiest way to remind them is by giving them some example in treating other creature, joining the campaign or just sharing in the nearest community.

Really, I feel so sad with this human behavior and feel it is more than selfish on our part to kill animals on places which belongs to only them. we are only worried about our existence and forget about everybody else who also have a right to live life the way they want.
