I did pick up some piano books at our thrift store and a friend of mine gave me the ones she used in her family, but it seems that they are mostly designed for children and I was thinking of ordering some piano lesson books on the net. Now I am at the level where I can play simple songs with chords that is not too complicated, but I do have a song book that is more of an intermediate level and I want to get past the elementary -intermediate level. So I want to get past the just play with the chords in the left hand bit.
So I would like some advise, please.

Whenever my son decides to buy some piano books, he will go through what are displayed at the shelves and take picks from there. For me, I usually ask the person in attendance for more books which they may not have displayed at the shelves. Then we will be led to that area where there are plentiful to choose from.
The attendant is usually one who understands music, too. So you may consult him as to what books he believes will be good for you to have.

That would work if there were a music store near here. I have to rely on what my friends use and what is recommended on the net. The trouble is thata I do not want to get piano lessson books designed for elementary or young children and I do not want to get courses that assume because I am an adult, all I can do is play chords. I do have some course books, but they are just bits and pices and well designed mainly for children.
