I wanted to. speak of the beam from gymnastics.
Perhaps this post is dedicated to women's sports. So probably the answer will be given only those who have practiced this discipline.
My question is: What material is constructed of the beam gymnastics?
If any gymnast in the past practiced the sport, should know the answer.

This generation, there are many different types of balance beams.
However, the general and one used for competition (I believe) is made out of wood on the main bass beam. Then it is ccovered with I think synthetic suede now instead of real suede, though may still be used too. This is so that it is padded, covering splintering wood, and has grasp in it so it's not slippery.
There is also metal where the legs that hold up the beam are made up of adn then painted Sometimes they are also padded by mats to make it safer if you fall on them.

Unfortunately, your answer reveals a stark reality. I am very sad for those poor trees that are killed to build beams for gymnastic
