Facebook should allow gif image profile

i agree I love animation, I even hate not having animated emails I used to love making beautiful animated emails, at least Mylot is with it...

for what i know, .gif and .jpg are the only two extension files that are allowed majority in the internet. first of all is the .gif and later comes the .jpg .bmp are not allowed because majority of the .bmp are big in kilobytes because they are uncompressed images and usually used exclusive by windows... i notice that printing pictures using .bmp having a big difference compare to .gif and .jpg

For me, I think it is better to have an animated profile image in facebook. We don't know though what's the reason behind why gif images are not allowed in facebook but if they don't have a plan to allow it at least we know the reason why.

there is application that allow us to post gif image, but to see that your friend must also install the application first

uhm I'm sorry but i don't agree with you on that one, I prefer to have it as it is now because I would prefer people to use their own picture and display their on "faces" on their profile. Most of my friends have their own face displayed and makes it easier for me to distinguish one from the other, and it helps in knowing if they are really who they are rather that using others picture as profile pics. I consider "facebook" like a real community which you are able to talk to real people and with their real appearances, and there are still some who are posers but you could easily distinguish by observing them. And I guess most of my facebook friends are my friends in real life or people i have mingled with, and i want to keep it as geniune as possible but that's just me happy mylotting

facebook has disable my account 3 times with out any reason i hate that
