Why they say man don't cry?

hi sjvg As you are talking about "Men" and I am a Kid... I dont know the exact reason. But I have seen many men cry. There are some politicians and filmstars too on that list - they cry to make some money or gain some public attention Ok,for the discussion. Now tell me... what do I do when I cut the onions

Unfortunately, society has instilled to us that it is inappropriate and shameless for a man to cry. That no matter what circumstances a man might face he must accept it and suppress his emotions. Otherwise, be labeled as a weakling or gay. I am sure that a real men will shed his tear seeing someone he loves so dearly dying and saying his/her last words. So what I think is that ONLY REAL MEN DO CRY. Those who are not afraid to show their soft side, those with the courage and confidence to cry. So be proud of yourself that you are not afraid to accept that you cry even if you are a guy.

I admire men who cries- not the crying type. But men who are not shy to show their real emotion when needed. Crying will never make any men become a lesser man he is.

I think everyone on this earth weep. some just do not want to do is not recognized by the deputy why you afraid of not scoff at it but I do not know all that crying just rich and poor throughout the land everyone in it is always experienced pain and they cry y though they cry in secret. nice day.

I say different , I say CRY ALL YOU CAN. that way you can take all those feelings out, Its good to cry sometimes when you feel bad, it relaxes you and help you to loose calories. Why man shouldnt cry they are human like us, I see nothing bad when I see a man crying , if a man cries is because something really bad is happening. Men do cry. But when compared to women they seldom cry. The reason is psychological.I read somewhere that it's more genes matter.Men are strong in nature sue to there genes that's why they seldom cry. But I have also noticed that they do cry when the situation is totally out of control.

Some say that it's because of their EGO, maybe its only because they are afraid if someone sees them cry someone would tell them their weak.. but for me crying helps to release your excess baggage and not letting your ego fall off.

Im female and i have seen males cry before. I say that i would not date a male that does not cry. If he does not cry it means he is either cold hearted or doesnt have a heart.

HI brother! We are all human and God creates the tears for us to cry and one of the way to show the sadness. So why should we hide it? I can't find any reason for man to hide it or not to cry. They have feelings and they will feel sad like woman as well so just cry. Nothing to ashamed of. If I see a man cry that means he is normal. People who don't cry is abnormal. Cry means weakness and they should always look strong?? Nothing to do with that!From the tears you can get the strength and be strong~ I bet it!(^^)

I dont say man not cried because my husband cried when they feel alone or tired or loss in business. I not cried more but some time we both are cried.

I think it is not literaly what it means. I think it is a way of saying that, if you find a man crying there is a serious problem or pain he is going through. Unlike women who tend to cry often.

Its been said that real men do not cry! To what extent do you agree with this? As an adult man, do you cry or have you cried before? When and what triggered off your "tears hormones" I feel romantic men cry - can't really see the correlation between "romance" and "shedding tears"; it's just a personal opinion.

Some men have been taught by their father that crying is a sign of weakness. I don't know if men understand that when you cry you are cleansing your emotions and getting whatever it is that made you cry out.

Hi,i think there is nothing wrong to cry for men. On the contrary, i think a man who can cry is lovely. while those who never cries is stone hearted. People say that men don't cry just because men don't like to cry in front of others, which doesn't mean they don't cry at all. Well, to tell the truth, in this part, i think it is so good to be a female, to be a female means you can cry whenever you feel upset and sad, and don't need to be afraid of being laughed. I don't think men should not cry. They may express their sorrow other ways, but it is really bad for their health. I have seen some movies in which strongest men also have tears. It is ok, we all need to release our pressure in the way of crying.

I say go ahead and cry if you are a man and let out those emotions as it makes no sense to have it all bottled up. To me, people think if a man cry he is weak...I would rather a see a man cry than watch him try hard to control his emotions and then hurt someone.

Hello sjvg, Do you know why, because it is the monopoly of ladies? Now joke apart, I think it is a false implication to make the men strong as the crying considered as a weak point! You know about India, we had so many heroes, who sacrificed their lives in many ways. In the history about those heroes there is no mention about ‘crying’ and I think it may be shame (or considering it like that). But in reality, men do cry often as they are also human beings and they have to express their emotions at times. Nobody will think that time ‘it’(crying) is a shame. It is always good to ‘cry’ when you have so much pain, crying will give relief for both men and women.

Hi sjvg: I think this is just a stupid stereotype people have created around men. It just don't make sense and it's sexist. Express your feelings won't make you less man. There are also a long list of stereotypes around what girls should do and should not. And guess what? They are just stereotypes. You can take your own decisions, follow your heart and not doing things just because that's what it's suppose you have to do. ALVARO

I have never understood that statement myself. My grandmother to this day still says that she hates to see a man cry. As a man I have cried plenty of times in my life, and it's sad that as a man we must be alone to cry because society looks as us as less of a man if we cry. It's ridiculous if you ask me.

i don't care with that statement. although i never meet man who cry easily. i think if you are man and want to cry. just cry!
