Stoke managed to hold on to what was a great result for them against a team that have been on quite a run.
I thought that Stoke did really well on the break and made Tottenham pay for not putting away their chances.
Gareth bale was quiet today and Defoe was disappointing when coming on.
The penalty decision was a big call, it was really soft and i think Modric was looking for it, their was contact so it was a difficult call for the ref, also thought Kaboul second yellow was also soft but it was cynical and probably deserved.
What are you thoughts on the game?

Yes it should have been a penalty and also shawcross should have been sent off then tottenham would surely have won the game.

The referee's had a really bad day on the pitch and made really bad decisions which cost tottenham all the 3 points. Spurs did not play well for the first half and stoke deserved to be two goals up at half time. But in the second half tottenham did play really good and should have won the game but the referee made bad decisions to give a point to stoke. There were a huge number of decisions that went against tottenham like the kaboul second yellow card, shawcross handball and foul on kaboul by shawcross. Shawcross was lucky to be on the pitch and kaboul really unlucky not to be for the full game.

Yes, it was a real big upset so to speak. Stoke were definitely the better side in the first half. I think Tottenham failed to turn up in the first half. But in the second half, I thought they should have got two penalties and Shawcross should have been sent off. Instead they got only one penalty which Adebayor scored. To make thinks worse they had Kaboul sent off for two minor incidents.
I think the referee did not get a lot of decisions right in the second half and would be in the headlines for some time!!
Cheers!

I don't see the game myself, so I cannot comment much about the playing. Nevertheless, I am quite shocked because Tottenham has been playing quite good recently and I did expect them to win this away tie. Although it is an away game, but personally I think they will be able to win this game.
However, Stoke is also not a brush-aside team and they are indeed strong playing in front of their own fans. Thumbs up to Stoke for bringing such surprise.

I was really surprised by this resut as I believed Tottenham with their curent form and Stoke who have not looked their best defensive self meant only a win for Harry's men. But Totenham were really poor in the first half and were punished for it. I still think a point for each teram would have been a fair result. The match also had its own share of refreeing decisions which bordered on crazy.. Stoke is a tough place to go and win and tottnham really did not need this amidst their wonderful run.
Well as a Man utd fan I am very happy, as Tottenham really look like they will compete with UTD and City for the tittle. But would prefer to see games where the referee does not dominate the headlines.

I think the result is surprising. Tottenham is an unbalanced team but it is certain that this team is always above average.
