And then she broke my window.

Sound doesn't wake me up when I'm sleeping. I'm practically impervious to it since I've lived near train tracks and had construction going on far too close to me, so I've just learned to sleep through noise.
So it's easy to see why my sister spent about twenty minutes pounding on my house to try and wake me up today. See, she wanted toothpaste, and though slamming her fists into the walls of my residence would help her cause. At one point she thought, hey, let's just go ahead and start pounding on the window! And then she broke my window. Since I still didn't wake up through all the noise (proving that I am utterly screwed if someone decides to just break in), she busts in through the kitchen window, jacks my only tube of toothpaste, and hightails it outta here. She returned a half hour later with a rather pathetically empty tube of toothpaste and the apology of, "I'm really sorry sister I kind of broke your window."
I now have a large gaping hole in the wall covered only by a quilt and some plastic to keep the winter cold out. I'm beginning to wonder if that girl has bricks rolling around that head of hers in place of a brain.

I think I would have had to give her a good old fashioned butt whipping. I can't believe she broke your window! I would have been furious..lol. I have read that you got it fixed now and I am glad of that but if she didn't get that whipping I guess she would be helping me pay for the costs.

I was really, really tempted to smack her a few times in the hopes it might knock some sense into that head of hers.

Reading this made me laugh. I think, instead of breaking your window, I would have splashed you with cold water. Who wouldn't not wake up from that? Your sister should have thought of this.

Aah, it's funny in retrospect I guess. Although I must admit, if she had splashed me with water, I might have ended up punching her. That would've just thrown me into defensive wake up mode.
