Since I hate docs and med with a passion!!!. Ive always gotten into the practice of eating raw fruits and vegetable. They are freaking delicious! Ive never been a huge junk food lover, but Ive love me some snicker! I only eat chips, cakes and like when I am absolutely starving with no other options. This is truth. Raw fruits and veggie are medications for the future which means, this is probable why Ive never been sick as well. That's all I have time to share. I just felt I needed to tell this tale of fruits and vegetables, the precautions that are easily missed but deemed necessary for the body. We can take advantage of this body and stay in good health, and I though its the reason of sickness, that doesn't mean we have to flow with this tide. What about your body? and what are you doing to keep it in good health? Can you tell your story? It may help someone else. Peace and good health:-)

Yes, likewise I detest the medical profession - good if you have a broken limb or something, but oh so very not good in many other areas. Congratulations on letting your food be your medicine. I'm a 100% raw-fooder for the past four months & vegan organic for some ten years before that. I haven't taken a day off work for sickness for that whole time. Not only is this stuff better for you, but saves you money & saves the environment. Yes, we must look after the body - after all, it's the only one we will get!

You are right! In order to live more naturally, we need to become aware of the main health hazard in our environment and learn to avoid or minimize them. We can also develop our intuition or ask for guidance through our social and Spirit nature. We should be able to live an active and enjoyable life until age of about 120 years and then quietly withdraw from the body. For most of us who have serious inherited weakness and misused our body for many decades, this may not be possible to achieve. Nevertheless, better health, and an enjoyable life for almost everyone. The key to success is in your mind!

Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine is credited with the saying "Let food be your medicine". Good advice. Modern food has so many additives in it that the body just doesn't know what to do with that it stuffs it in the liver or carries it into fat cells. Real food will keep you healthy and help you build your immune system so if you do get sick, you will get well fast. Congrats on the great life style! Just be sure to eat a wide variety of fruits and veggies.

Give me fresh air, fruits and vegetables! Living back in 1946-54 we had no light or modern day luxury, all we had was fresh fruits and vegetable,fresh eggs, fresh meat with no additives in it. People was more Healthy and less sick people around. What we didn't have our friends would help. That I call a community looking out for each other. Yes! Fruits and vegetables when you are young will help you later in life.

I too love eating fruits and vegetables. For the fruits, of course i always eat them as they are. But for the veggies, i get to eat some only, if they are made into salads. I usually would half-cook them, whenever we eat them. That way, everybody in the house will like it. Though, we only eat lean meats only, because we know that it's a lot safer on the cholesterol, that way.

I want to say something about eating raw fruits and vegetables : some times boiling them or mashing them or grating them can improve the availability of the good materials they contain. For example : if you grate a tomato and adds some olive oil, the licopen becomes more available because you break many connections between molecules of the licopen and other things. If you make juice of fruits or vegetables , it also has some advantages , the digestion is a lot easier. Eating just raw can make you miss some advantages sometimes , and you better get more information about it. About eating meat , I think it is good if you have a small amount of it because of the vitamin b-12 that is available there...fish has omega 3 as I think I heard about it. I'm not sure. Many fruits and vegetables are not raised biologically in nature. Don't forget that many vegetables and fruits are spread with poison chemicals to prevent bacteria and worms but are also accumulate in our body and can make damage in the long run. You better eat them only if you grow them by yourself. Take for example , someone who has a cancer and has chemotherapy, he must not eat vegetables he didn't grow on his own (there is a user in mylot that I personally know who unfortunately lives that ). Eating healthy is very complicated , you have to know a lot more than just eating raw vegetables and fruits.

Our body is needs to be boost to have healthy immune system, but it is not understood that you take complete Vitamins, eating the right kind of foods such as veges and fruits, you are always aware of getting those common diseases. Fruits and vegetables is necessary in our body, we have to eat only the nutritious foods if it is probable that we can prepare in our every meal everyday, to strengthen the body's immune system. If time comes you already have this common diseases your body has the capacity to fights against whatever diseases. Have a wonderful Monday!!!
