I want to earn extra money through CashGopher but I was so worried when a warning popped up: Potentially harmful software detected (Important). I clicked on "Clean System." CashGopher was automatically uninstalled.
How about on your end? Did you also encounter the same issue?

I use cashgopher and have NEVER gotten that warning. it has not messed up anything on my computer. It is by mylot so it is highly unlikely that mylot would sabotage our computers.

No I have a PC with Windows Vista business edition. I have had cash gopher since it came out. Have you updated your version? maybe that's the problem.

Hello, tiina05! What a nice avatar! In my case, the system uninstalled CashGopher. Well, I'll not contradict on what my system wants. Actually, it is always useful whenever a certain warning pops up. It reminds me that my computer knows a lot better than I am when it comes to its safety.

With regard to low battery, I was advised by one of the technicians not to let my netbook hibernate. It hibernates if the battery is low and gets empty. It is also considered an improper shut down. As per the technician, once there is already a warning of low battery, I need to recharge the battery, or I need to immediately shut down my computer if recharging is not possible at the moment.

I was advised that when your files were erased, it means that your hard disk is no longer functioning. I had my motherboard changed last week. I was advised by the technician to back up my files because my hard disk will fail to function in few months now. This is indeed frustrating. He told me that the main reason is the improper shut down. Well, it's true. I am guilty. Sometimes, I am getting impatient if my computer does not shut down in few minutes. I am pressing the battery to manually shut it down. I think it's more than 10 times since I bought this computer. My bad.
Befrindwithme26, it would be best to also not download and install CashGopher. You already had problems with your computer before and you don't want to add more problems.

I personally haven't tried cashgopher, but I recieved a warning with gomez peer which I believe is basically the same thing through another site. I just did a bit of searching and it looks like antivirus programs etc may register it as harmful because it runs in the background like a trojan would, but it is not harmful according to these sites.
Truth be told, I would be wary of it period and stay away from it unless you are able to get a lot of referrals. Programs like these are almost always slow earning and I don't find the small earnings to be worth the risk.

Hi,
Even I agree with you. Such programs are not worth taking a risk as you will take years to get your first payment! Even I have tried gomaz peer and got annoyed to the core. No money but slower system!
I myself stopped using the software and formatted my system!

wittynet I nev er did download cashgopher as I did not want foreign software in my computer and from what I saw one does not earn but
just a little so to me it is just not worth it at all.I make pretty good money just as I am on mylot with discussions and posts and being very active and participating a lot;so why bother with cashgopher at all.
