The gruesome way that the 89 people died in one of the worst hospital-oriented history of the world should prove to be an eyeopener for one and all. The hospital in question, The ANRI Hospitals, is considered one of the high-end medical facilities and such negligence happening there is beyond the comprehension of a layman like me. It is really amazing that Kolkata (the city where the hospital is located) has been quite nonchalant about the whole incident. The promoters have been arrested but two of them already had a shady past. We all are in a Catch-22 situation. We can't do without such hospitals nor can we dump these institutions summarily. But there must be some way out of this quagmire of deceit and greed...
