Please find the sentences below. There is a grammatical mistake in a portion(starting and ending with underscore). The correct structure is provided in the options : Could you please figure out which is the correct answer and why? I believe the answer would be (E) which is believed to be, because it is the flying reptile which is believed to be the largest flying... and not only the wingspan.

But it was the animal, not the wingspan which 'is believed to be the largest flying reptile'. Which ever option you choose, it's not good English. Appending 'and' doesn't make it much better but at least tends to separate one statement from the other. As I pointed out, rewriting is really the only option.
