Why am I so tempted to give sarcastic, snippy responses?

Anger is a natural human emotion and is nature's way of empowering us to "ward off" our perception of an attack or threat to our well being. The problem is not anger, the problem is the mismanagement of anger. Mismanaged anger and rage is the major cause of conflict in our personal and professional relationships.
Domestic abuse, road rage, workplace violence, divorce, and addiction are just a few examples of what happens when anger is mismanaged.

yesssssss i knowwwwwww!!!!...'how old are you'..'am i pretty'...'do you like internet?reply yes or no'..lollll..they absolutely annoy me,i usually tell them..some i report...why do they even bother to post??i don't really understand them..i actually started a discussion myself, where i asked peopele to be sincere and tell me what gets their interest here, because i tried to start interesting discussions,i also don't ask just 'reply yes or no'..i try to comment myself first on the subject and get people a point where to start from..and nothing...and others, like you gave the example ,just say'you like water?i do'...and they get dozens of responses..i actually tried to think about a silly question like that, simple and effective but i just can't ,i feel the need to add a comment,or something,i can't just say'do you spend time on the internet?i spend time'...i mean, what is that???it sounds so useless,i don't know if that is what mylot wants from us...

and by the way, don't give attention to those who tell you that you shouldn't be here if this site makes you angry lol..mylot encourrages us to be their eyes and years here, and report any discussion that doesn't follow the rules..everyone should check out that section with the 'do's' and 'dont's'...they even give examples, discussions such as 'how old are you' ..or 'where are you from'..or anything similar aren't allowed, also the short responses...mylot tries to make a quality site and we should help them..when i first joined here i tended to start discussions like those also..i think i eve started one long time ago..i hope it was deleted,if it hasnt then i don't mind, cause since then i tried my best to post only quality ones...and we should all do that

yeah, and like on the highway, you can get a speeding ticket when you least expect it..that is why we should all help by reporting those kind of discussions, and if you think rules are made to be broken, then you have a very 'healthy' morality lol

I feel like that sometimes too but I try not to. I will give sarcastic answers if I know the people I'm responding to but apart from that, I either try to give a sensible answer or just not answer at all.

you could also add something nice like "could you please share just a little?" So that you aren't a total jerk.

You are much braver than I am. I spend more time going through the list of discussions trying to find one that merits my taking the time to give a, hopfully, a logical and sensible comment. I don't bother commenting so that I won't have to offend anyone. Also it ticks me off to see so many discussion on the same silly topics.

I get angry too, having to sift through all the crap to find a decent discussion.I have better things to do with my time than respond to "am I sexy/pretty?" kind of posts.Come on people can't you think of better posts than that?

nice try, but even (maybe especially) the people who do speak english are nonsensical. I can detect anyone who speaks English as a Second Language- I cut them slack. The rest are unforgivable

actually I don't respond to those- or even read them. I just posted this to get like-minded people together. Seems to be working.

I wish there was a quick way to index and sort messages. I am also interested in some of the deeper topics. Not all of them, I have my preferences. I do not even bother to start a discussion unless it is something I would want to participate in. If I would do the one-liners I might make money faster. I did post asking people to tell about their names, because it really interests me, but I do not think I got any replies. So eslproofreader, will you tell me about yours, I think I know, but would invite that conversation, because it seems important to you. And I will not lecture you about rage.

I know how you feel, sometimes I get that temptation to, there are so many "stupid" posts that we get annoyed just for passing by those silly posts. Sometimes to reach a good discussions we have to read a lot of crap. Dont give up like someone in here suggest, there are very good members with good discussions and excellent points of view, stay with us.

yes,i think that is the main reason why i spend so much time online but i respond to so few discussions, because i have to search very much till i find one..i can still sadly observe that people tend to be selfish, they don't really care about what site wants to be,and they think that if they can make a few cents by posting irelevant discussions or responses it's ok ..as long as they are payed lol..

I have been here for over a month and I have seen so many stupid discussions it is not funny. PLust tons of repeat discussions. It is anoying and all I do is give them a negative rating and tell them it is not part of the rules and guidelines.

I think it is just my nature to be snippy and sarcastic, it hurts me to be nice, but the sad thing is, there are only a few that want to respond to the meaningful posts. Most dont want to read or think of an honest answer to questions, they just want to type in a color and on top of that, a lot are just here to get the money (sadly I am one of those) so we ask the questions that get the most responses. Sad state message boards are in these days. :(

I know, it's pathetic, I am ashamed of myself. Sadly most would do anything to make a buck and when they are so hard to come by some of us are reduced to this. On the flip side, I have really found some good discussions on here and am more at the point now where I log on to look at those rather than for the penny-per-comment. I mean really, at that rate, it isnt even worth posting to make money.

I would like to offer my sincere appreciation to the few who were so worried over my 'rage' that they suggest I leave myLot. And to think, they don't even know me (tear trickling down cheek)! The compassion!
