Does your culture tells something about the red moon?

A few days ago the red moon was available and many people were excited to go out to see it. But it seems that our culture doesn't think it is a good sign. The red moon stands for the war and blood. Especially next year it is 2012, is it telling us something in advance?

I think the red moon is no more than a natural phenomena, there is no need for us to worry about it.If anything, maybe It has an influence on climate and geological struture, I guess.

Hmm, not really. My culture was saying nothing about red moon. There's some legend related with moon eclipse, anyway. But no legend say anything about red moon :).
And, nope, I don't believe it's related with some events in the future. Red moon phenomena can be described scientifically, anyway..

In ancient times people didn't have much knowledge about the universe and nature. They thought the unusual phenomenon such as the red moon symbolized something disastrous. Few people believe this in modern society.
