Do you cook your own meals? Do you bring cooked meals to work?

I love cooking and I enjoy eating the foods that I brought to work instead of buying on restaurants or fast foods. It may take more time in the morning while preparing to go to work but I get to save on the cost of meals, as well as I get to eat foods that I like. I am fond as well of preparing side dishes and desserts. When my office mates saw what I prepared for myself, they asked me if I can do the same for them and they would just pay me. I said why not. I get to thinking that I would save more on my food since they would be paying and I'll just get a portion for myself. Do you think it is a good idea?

I want to learn how to cook western style. Here, there are tons of international restaurant which needs excellent cook who of course can cook western food style and if you could help with that. You may be having your own favorite food.

I can cook western style meals. I bought a recipe book for western style from Readers Digest. I want to have my own restaurant someday. I also cook all Filipino dishes and I believe I'm good at it. You can search the web for western style cooking. You can study on your own. Just learn the basic.

If you love doing it and it's not a problem and you enjoy it, why not make some profit out of it? I'm totally for it, go make some nice meals and earn yourself some cash. I also like better to prepare my own meals rather than eating during breaks somewhere out or something from the store, I'm just too lazy to separate some more time to do it, so I usually just eat somewhere out. I wish you the best of luck with your food business, maybe one day you'll open your own restaurant :D

If you really want it, go for it! And make your wishes come true. Maybe you could start right now with making meals for your friends for Christmas or New Year party or something like that. Or at least make it you New Year goal, and accomplish it. I wish you all the luck, go and make your dreams come true. You have the ability, a lot of people don't and can't accomplish their wishes. You can, so do it! Have a nice day too!

Yes, I sometimes bring home cooked meals to work. this helps me save a couple of bucks from my allowance. If i have packed meal i would not have to spend for anything. =) For those times where i do not have packed lunch, i am forced to buy myself lunch.

Hello! I also like cooking. Since this year, our family meals are nearly all I do. I think in the busy in the kitchen is a joy. Ha ha! I feel like I do the most delicious meal, and health is guaranteed. In our city, media reported, some restaurant owners in order to make money, in the cooking process, to add a lot of food chemistry add machine, thus increasing the smell and fresh vegetables. This is the health of people is a hazard.

I make my husband a sandwich for lunch when at work other wise I don't really cook him lunch. I make lunch for myself and I feed my daughter baby food. I some times cook dinner but not always every night some times we go out. I'm pregnant again so some times I have to listen to my cravings of what I want instead of staying in.

You sounded like a very busy mom. Cooking can be done properly if you are not rushing. So if you plan to cook for your family make sure you have adequate time. Maybe you can do it when there's special occassion.

I have plenty of time to cook but cooking three meals a day is stupid in my book. To feed someone you don't always have to cook three meals a day i do one meal a day that is dinner breakfast doesn't need be a hot meal. Lunch as well they don't need to be hot meal or dinner for thy matter. I dont new to take several hours out of Judah to spend with my daughter cook then clean up after cooking and not get time to play with her. I get up I feed her some baby food I feed myself and the baby inside of me as well. I do cereal for myself some times oatmeal. Lunch is the same thing I make a sandwich or something that don't take long I have to keep my eyes on an 11 month old baby. My husband I he is hungry he can feed himself no where was I ever told as a women when j get married that I need to cook every meal for my whole family and cook dinner for my husband when he comes home. He Amit broke he knows how to cook so he can cook if he is hungry. That's how it works in my house and I don't care I others like it or not ita no there house and it's not there family so there thoughts on how I run things don't matter.

Same as yours cooking is something that will never do. Because i love to eat and i love also to hear words of appreciation to my dishes. During the time when i was working i cook a lot. I spend time on buying all the needed spices for my food to cook. I want that all ingredients was there to make my dishes more delicious, i also try to make it attractive by putting designs to it. And of course bringing foods to eat at the office since the food that i like are not available near our office. I do sell also as per requested of my collegue and Friends even cater to their needs during birthdays and holidays. But im not a chef i just love to cook and the food loves me also..

Yes, that is right. It is really fun to cook specially when all the ingredients that we need are complete. The part that I don't enjoy much though is the washing of dishes. Lol.

I like cooking. But since it will be very late if I make the dinner after work. So usually my mom prepare for the dinner. And I will also bring it to work next day as my lunch. It can save money and especially it is much more convenient and healthier. I love China

Hi youless. You are lucky that your mom cooks for you. I am as lucky as you since there are times that my mother cooks for me. All of us in the family can cook. But we haven't thought of putting up a restaurant. I wish someday that I'll have mine. Best regards.

no, i dont cook. I do know a bit on how to do it but we're not allowed to cook in my place. We do have a kitchen and we can ask someone to cook for us. Our landlord paid someone to do it for safety purposes. Sometimes when i ask her to cook something for me, i bring to the office if i dont have much time to eat it.

You are not allowed to cook in your place? Awww... I would not be happy if I would not have a chance to cook. Cooking and feeding people is one of my real interest. I hope you'll get a chance to cook someday. That is if you only want it.

vegetable meal - photo of my favorite vegetable meal which compose of squash, long beans and coconut milk. best combine with fried fish like milkfish or tilapia.
good day snowhybiscuis, with reference to your main topic, i do always cook my own meals and bring it as well as my pack lunch to work. hence, there are no restaurant nearby to where i am working. however, there is only one store nearby but the price of the commodities is quite expensive. so i rather bring my own lunch rather spending a lot for my food. well, in your situation, it sounds good since you will have an added income as they will gonna pay for what they have ordered. and you are right, you can just get a part of the dish that you have cooked for them. in this way, you were able to cooked the food since you loved cooking plus you are also having an added income since you are supplying them the food that they have ordered. how creative you are. thus you were able to get an extra income from what you have done for yourself. and that is cooking not only for you but also to your officemates that will turn to be your customers.

Yes, most of the time I cooked for myself and bring also for my lunch. I prefer to do this as more cheaper and healthier that eating in food chain. Which we don't know how the food prepared it for us.

That is right eoz127. Many of fast foods are fattening and not healthy if takes more often. Also, it is much expensive than cooking. That's good that you cook for your meals too. Thanks for commenting.

Your idea seem very good as you are interested cooking. This would make you an unavoidable member of your office. If you prepare and supply them delicious food items, it would bring a homely connections by all staff members with you.

You are very right mohkanari. We can all eat together and enjoy what I can prepare for them. This is less expensive as well compared to team building activities. Nice idea indeed. Thanks for that.

yes, I cook for myself because I am a bachelor now. And I have to do the job. I am eager to find my half to share happiness and sorrow. However, it seems as if it was a long way to go.

Enjoy your bachelorhood conquer2012. Being single is fun and you get to do a lot of things that you cannot do when you are married like traveling and going out with friends. Cooking can be fun. Be innovative in your cooking and think that it is like experimenting. That's how I do it. I try to invent and I let my friends taste it.

That's good. Even leftover foods can be still good. I do that too. I keep leftover dinner in our fridge and just heat it in our otfice oven. It would be lucky if mom would cook meat that dont get easily spoiled. This would also help us save money.

Taking your own food to work is a smart idea. You will save money since you won't be buying from the cafeteria or ordering out from other fast food joints. Also, taking your own food has got to be a lot more healthier for you. I think it's a good idea to make food and sell it. Hey, you could start her own little catering business.

Hi Arieles. I have thought of that too. But I'll check first if this would work. I need to see for myself if other people would truly appreciate my cooking. Have a nice day.
