Depression and Christmas Music

As a music lover, I usually enjoy all types of music. There are only a couple exceptions, and one of these is Christmas music. I find that it drains my energy and can actually make me quite depressed. We all know that this is a season where statistically speaking, depression and suicides escalate. I'm sure that in these cases, there is a whole lot more going on than what some view as 'depressing' music. However, to the struggling soul, the constant bombardment of Christmas music in public places must be extremely difficult to endure. How do you view Christmas music? Does it uplift or depress you?

some do sound depressing... like pasko sa usa ka bilango (a prisoners Christmas). it sound depressing for he was like being frame for something that he didn't do and he spend his Christmas in a prison... yeah... the people who are very depress during christmas are the ones who are in jail but innocents while the real criminals are running freely and merry.

I haven't heard the song that you spoke of, but it does sound depressing. I think of the people who are lonely and sad, a lot of the music seems to just remind the person of that isolation that many experience at this time of year.
