How crazy are you for the New PS3

The new Playstation 3 has finally made its appearance here in the United States. People every have been waiting months for its arrival. There is a promise of the greatest system ever which can even play the new blue ray disks of movies. Don't ask what blue ray is I have no idea but I think it is the new wave of watching dvd movies. I think maybe it has something to do with high definition tv's and stuff, but that is another discussion for another day. It is soo crazy, if you did not reserve your PS3, you probably did not get one of the first ones out unless you went to places that do not set up reserving copies of anything. How long is too long to stand in line for something that still has bugs that need worked out and do not have many games out yet that are playable on the system. Some people stood in line for days maybe weeks just to get the new system as they went on the shelves. People are being shot and mugged while standing in line for this new gaming system of the century. I know that black friday (the mega sale day after christmas) can be really bad. I get this image of people running and rushing to get this new machine. Some are buying them to resell on eBay and others just might keep the system. For those that are looking no eBay to buy, what is worse, the price of standing in line for days or paying over market for a product that i remind you still has bugs that need worked on. The highest I have heard that this machine has sold for on eBay is $25,000. The average I have seen it sold for on eBay is about $2.000 to $3,000. What an aftermarket markup. I wish I had stood in line to resell. I would be out christmas shopping for my kids right now. What are your views on this situation and what has happened. I wish companies like this when putting out a product that is such a hit as this would sell them direct from the company. Then we would not have people crazy enough to be killed over something that is just an object and really has no meaning.
