I can't understand, What's the advantage of making scam site?

Nowadays, there are so many online business site on the internet. But most of them are likely just scam sites. Actually they recruit member freely without asking any payment. But I don't understand, what's the purpose of people who make scam site? Is there any advantage for them? do they get money from that? or they just want to make everyone lose their time in vain?
I'm still newbie in online business. So I can't understand the purpose of making scam sites properly. Can anyone please tell me about it?

Maybe they are driven by greed and a lack of ethics to rip people off of their hard earned money?

Hi Rianhid36!
If you want to take advantage of internet user's money, I guess the very past and easy way to do it is creating or affiliating yourself on a scam site.
And if you don't want to become a victim of scam, my advise is for you to stay away from a site that is asking your money and credit card number.

I think that people do it because they really want the money, but they don't realize that they could get arrested and go to prison for doing that. Also, it's a federal offense to do something like that. If you make a scam site, and you are intentionally ripping people off, then you will go to prison for it, and federal prisons are not nice.

Yes! I also thought about it and my best guess is that they are in for a quick money, they don't care about having a name or a reputation so if they only make 1000 dollars until the scam can continue, that's what they were in for.
If they are trying to give malware for example the most of the people they can get it's the only thing they want.

they make scam site so that they can capture all sensitive information of people like username and password and also paypal,alertpay ID and personal pin etc..
if they know user sensitive information and it is possible that they can steal money.
also another reason why they scam is that they are thinking "why should they give money? if they also want money?" so they scam people to boost their earning.
