Have you purchased the Calendar for the year 2012?

Dear friends, The time is running so fast, the year 2011 is ending very soon. Have you bought the calendar for the New Year? I don’t have any idea how you people get the calendar for the year. In fact, one of the advertisement in TV reminds me the year is going to be end soon (I watched the same in first week of November). In my native state, there are two major newspaper companies; both of them are competing each other to sell their calendar for the year. The calendar is giving information of all festivals (all religion) other important days and holidays, temple festivals (there are so many temples in Kerala). The calendar is also providing information of train time, std codes, horoscope etc. Here in north, we don’t buy a calendar, infact we are getting the same as free from office or shops. But we do purchase a Calendar from our native to know about native festivals and other important things. How do you get your calendar for the year? Have you purchased it already? I hope all of you had a wonderful year 2011 and wishing another wonderful year to all of you. Please share about your experience in 2011, was it a successful one Or… Wishing you all A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2012.

Hi sree.. I never buy any calender in new year and as you have said we are gifted calendars on new year from various companies, shops, groceries, banks etc. My mom purchase panjika on assamese new year. Here most calenders have holidays list or astronomical information. Have a nice time.

Hi Shibham, But we need one calendar from the native to know all the festivals in our state. You know one more thing, in our state, among Hindus, they celebrate their birthdays according to the star so the Malayalam calendar is also necessary to know all those. How was your year 2011? Hope you had a wonderful year. Thank you so much for the quick response. Have a bright year ahead.

hi sree, No necessary that mohkanari is from Kerala. In Madhya pradesh too, few newspaper publications (I work for the leading one) distribute free Panchang (with all the astro details, Hindi months/festivals - same as our Matrubhumi/ manorama) during the 1st week of January. They even bring out astro predictions supplements as well.

Hi Sree dear, we don't purchase calendar. We will get free calendars from the outlets which we are their regular customer. I like the type of monthly calendar which is practical with all the required info clearly shown, similar to those mentioned in the above content new calendars are hanging on the walls in sitting room, bedroom as well as kitchen already. Important dates on different months are marked with bright color to remind us to follow accordingly... Wishing you A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2012 in advance

Yeah, I can see clearly the coming Chinese New will fall on the 23rd of Jan on the one hanging on the wall at my back The one with golden cover is a thick daily calender that needed to be torn daily. The date shown is big and conspicuous. The figure is about 3.6 x 2.8 in in size. Weekday is in green whereas Sunday is red. I have 3 but all of them are written in Chinese. If not I would like to reserve one for you and one for your myLot son

ha ha 'mylot son'.. infact he is my grown up son but I am referring him as 'mylot son' just for mylot members, those who know that I have small kids (I just don't want to confuse them). I am proud to agree that he is my son in all means. It will be our pleasure to get a gift from you, we just don't mind the language, we can use the common sense to understand it.

Ok... send me one (I already mentioned... I dont know or understand the adverts from the bank... so not understanding the writings will not be a problem... but are the dates in english) now that it is going to die forever... My 2011 went all okay(why to say sad things at the end time)... I have great expectations from 2012(no not the ones like the Story) but I have a lot of expectations and I hope that 50% of them should get right... That will keep me happy.

Hello Sir, I think the calendars with God’s pictures are high on demand. I have seen a lot. This time we have only two calendars we got at home, one we purchased which include the festival and other important dates in our native state and other is free. I refused to take many calendars offered from different places as we don’t have much space at home. Two is more than enough. Thank you so much Sir. Take care of your health.

We usually get the calendar for free when we purchased other items. Schools will open in every January so parents will get ready and prepare their children with the school items and we usually get free calendar when we for example buy school uniforms or school shoes. We can get the calendar from the stationery or book store as well. Rarely we buy calendar since we can get for free for any items we buy from the store. I am glad and grateful for having a great year of 2011. I want to work more harder for the next year of 2012.(^^)

Hi Sree, Let me thank you for reminding me and after reading your title, I called my MIL to buy one for me too (of course the native one). We too follow the Malayalam calendar for many festivals though it is almost the same with our other traditional festivals. The most interesting part is I am a Tamilian from Palakkadu which make me celebrate Onam as well as Pongal. We don't really need to buy anything else than this native one as most of the time i get from office. Even they print office diary and desktop calendars. As far as 2011, all iz well, all iz well.... Happy and great new year to you & your family. Enjoy!

I have bought a day to day picture like calendar of islands and many of these are tropical. They show the date at the top and have a picture of an island at the bottom. I put that on my shelf above my television. I also have bought a calendar for my bedroom. It is all about tropical islands and beaches. My mom bought the calendar that will be in my lounge. It is all about paradise: tropical beaches. My mom and my older son bought me a 2012 diary plus address book. I plan to have a very well organized 2012. I wish everyone on My Lot a very happy 2012.

Calender is very important to every of the family. Most of the people need to have a calender to check and to plan for certain occasion at certain period. Whether we are buying a calender or not, it is very a subjective question. In the past, I never bought calenders because I could get free calenders from the merchants. About the year 2012, I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year fro 2012.
