Nail and teeth, both are the part and parcel of our body but both have less contact with each other. Its a great truth but some persons wish to have a contact between them. Are you among them?
Well, no puzzle okay. Do you bite your nails? How do u feel notiching someone using his/her teeth for nails? Please share.

Biting nail is not a good hygiene practice. We have a nail clipper which can precisely cut the nail beautifully short. Why choose to bite the nails.Again, biting nail is a habit.Sometimes whether we notice or not,we are doing it.And it just happens subconsciously.I don't really care or mind about biting nails, since it does no harm and will not usually affect health, unless biting a dirty nail. And we never know how clean our fingers, who knows what germs are inside those nails.Biting nails in public is quite an unsightly view. So,do it at home if you feel like doing it,lol..hehe

Hahaha. They who bite nails are not to make them short or just to avoid clipper. Can you see the hidden germs on your nails although they are not dirty? So, i think although we find them clean, yet there are maximum chances to have germs. Nope, i never bite my nails.
have a nice time.

i am not in such habit. in fact to be honest i have never done so as far as my memory goes by. why do you need to bite your nails with your teethe when you have such a cute nail cutter at your disposal. can't you spend 10rs to get a smaller one at your side? this is my question to people who are in a habit to notch their nails by there teeth.

I do this from time to time. When I am nervous usually. The problem is that when I have short nails I can't stop biting them. But now I keep my nails in a good length so I can paint them and avoid biting them!
Do you have any idea how is this habit created to so many people?
I have never looked for it, but I have many friends that do it.

I don't bite my nails but it is a very common habit. There are some special nail polishes here that are clear...that way men or women can use it....that has a terrible taste. It is supposed to help break the habit of nail biting. People often buy it for their children if they bite their nails or continue sucking their thumb after a certain age.

Hiya shibs,
Have never bitten my nails as such not as a Habit or my thumbs. We all have bad habits sometimes but we can correct them with time and realizing what we are doing wrong.
I clip my nails a lot as I am in water and they soften quickly so I don´t get a chance to bite them he he he.
If other People do it I don´t mind except for when one of mine was biting the skin around the nail all the time nervous habit but grew out of it eventually.xxx
My Dog bites his tail every so often but only when he gets too nervous and too much energy.xxx

Hiya shibs,
That is true you can spread infections even further by chewing and biting your nails. My eldest developed an infection in the side of the nails as he was forever chewing the outside of the nails.
However it was not easy to stop him until he was older and he realized the damage he was doing to himself then he stopped altogether to this very Day.
Dog chases his Tail yes for the Flies but also because he goes silly and likes to play all Day long.
Today I have seen a sign that he is growing into an Adult quite quickly.xxx
Actually he catches the flies as they are flying around him he is very quick like that.xxx

After reading this the only person I remember is Saurav Ganguly.

Hi shib, I have never gotten into this habit; may be I have never fancied something like a nail biting finish or event!.
Like in every circle of friends you find prototypes of various habits, we too had two of them in our groups [two separate groups, though] who used to do it constantly & compulsively. These are hard to give up for people who have got used to it for long.

Nope this has not been my habit. But I was seeing people doing this. I am always wondering what's with biting the nails, why some people enjoyed it. Some even says they can cut their cuts just by biting. Which sounds really weird to me, there is a nail cutter so why not use it I tried it one time - but I really don't like doing it.

I do not bite my nails. However, when I get a bad manicure and there are some fleshy part/cuticle that has not been removed properly, I bite it because it is irritating.
I do not like to see people bite their finger nails though. Sometimes, they do it because they think they look cute or baby-ish when doing it (especially teenagers). If they are my students, I'd probably tell them to stop. Some students have long finger nails. I bring along my nail cutter and have them clip their nails in front of me. Hahaha!

Hi..
This usually happens to the tension parties.Im quite cool and take things light. But my sister is exactly opposite to me.She cant resist herself without biting her teeth whenever she gets tensed. She is so used to it that she even started eating finger edges after completely consuming her nails. Her fingers looked nasty after that activity.May be this has prevented me from doing that.

I never bite my nails as i find it a disgusting habit. Our nails have dirt and germs embedded in them and when we chew our ails then all of it enters the stomach and causes illness and disease.I find it apalling that our famed cricketeers have this disgusting and revolting habit and since they are icons and worshipped blindly by our countrymen and especially the youngsters,it is up to them to set a habit of cleanliness and hygiene by not doing this on the field and giving a good example to their fans. Why do they have to bite their nails so furiously on the field when all they have to do is cut the nails with a nail cutter before coming on the ground?
