I just recently enrolled this term for a degree in law... And there has been a lot of requirements that we have to meet.. A lot of reading is needed, case digests, articles of codes memorization and oral recitations during classes. This is the only situation where I tried not to sleep just to finish reading all the assigned articles and yet I didn't sleep during the class because my heart is beating faster than normal, palpitating.... The life of a law student is terribly perfect punishment... And a great Avenue for escape And introverts....because u would probably lose social life....

I think you are already aware about the hardships you need to go through before enrolling right? It is part of it. When I was 21, I dreamt of being in Law School and finishing law school by the time I reach 26. I prepared myself for the hard battle.. all those readings and memorizing but I did not pass the entrance exam. I lack just 2 Points. So I said maybe it is not really for me. Sad to say but I believed that. Well I wish you luck and hope you will have this abbreviation soon--- -Atty.

Thank you for explaining and clearing that up. Now I understand how difficult it is to be a lawyer in India. I am from the Philippines and most lawyers are respected because they went through a lot during law school. I hope it will change in India. If not you might have no lawyers in the future. very sad.

Yeah, i heard that being a law student is definitely a hard thing t go through, but everything in college is hard, just stick to your curse if you really love it since in the real world, after graduating, jobs won't be s hard.I think. There is no more memorization needed.

I always have two extreme opinions about lawyers - they are either saviors or well, 'legalized' swindlers (I don't intend to offend you). I have never met an actual lawyer (though my family did wish me that I take up Law when I was younger) but I have seen some great performances in crime and law-related shows (mostly American).
Even though they are just characters, I am amazed by their level or intelligence (and sometimes, stupidity - lawyers are human after all). Through them I was able to enjoy and sometimes, understand the law - though it is a form of informal education on my part. I also admire that lawyers have a certain self-confidence and able to articulate themselves in any court scenario.
I cannot comment on your path to being a lawyer but I wish you luck. Hope you pass the bar exams!

Hmm..sounds like you are having a tough time bro..
I know lot of my friends who aspire to become a lawyer or has already become one...I find them leading a pretty easy life (maybe because i never saw them doing all the stuff you told)..
But at the end, lawyers make a hell lot of money right? So it is worth the pain..
