Eating ready made french fries had a possibility can cause cancer, because the food contains preservatives to maintain its freshness. But eating real home made french fries is safe to eat.

Mind if you share us the link where you actually read that French fries cause cancer? I could not believe it. I love eating fries and if it's true that they cause cancer I would feel disappointed.

Hello! Sweet potato is a kind of very nutritious food. It's the production process is very important, if Fried, sweet potato itself will be a lot of nutrition loss, of course, after the French fries after Fried, flavour is delicious, but eat too many, the health of the human body can be affected. Not only is Fried chips, all Fried food, eat more, the health is not so good.

It all depends on what type of fat you use to cook the fries. I do not think fries will cause cancer when you use polysaturated or monosaturated oil to cook it. Most of those fries that we buy are cooked with hdrogenated type of oil which is a major risk factor for disease like cancer and cardiovascular disorders.

Something that I find really interesting is that cancer is more a diagnosis than a specific disease. If it has certain characteristics then they call it a cancer. If something is found to cause those characteristics then we say they're cancer causing. I don't doubt that anything processed with the chemicals present in modern food manufacturing- in a large enough quantity in your body would have very negative effects. If your immune system couldn't fight off enough of the effects I'd think a cancerous growth wouldn't be unlikely. In other words, I'm pretty sure it's not the potatoes that would cause problems, and I highly doubt that a steady diet of potatoes fried in a natural unprocessed oil could cause anything but obesity. But then again, I'm no authority. I'd like to close this post with a quote I made many years ago regarding fried chicken that could relate to this. When someone told me in a really snotty manner, "fried foods are not good for you". I replied, "You know, there are many things in life I do that aren't good for me, and I don't think the chicken will get me first"

In all honesty, what CAN'T give you cancer? It seems like every time you turn around they're telling you what new foods, items, etc that will give you cancer. I truly believe that if you just lead a healthy lifestyle and take care of yourself, you're doing what you need to do. In many cases, there is only so much you can do.

I haven't heard about this yet. But if it's true then we should lessen eating french fries. This is one of my favorites when eating outside so I will really feel bad if this is true. Maybe because of the saltiness it has, I am not sure. Too much of something is always bad.
