Hello slstewart and welcome to myLot. I don't think that there is an average weight for a ten month old. It all depends on what your son weighed when he was born. My son was 9 lbs and 10 oz at birth so by the time he was ten month old he was the size of a year old or more. He was always bigger than most of the kids his age. He grew up to be over 6ft tall. If your son is eating good then don't worry. Something else to remember is that kids don't grow all the time. Every year after I bought my kids new clothes for Christmas they out grew them right away. When a kid starts eating more than usual they are getting ready to have a fast growth spurt. I have a granddaugher that was real tiny as a baby and until she reached first grade. Then she really started growing and now is quit tall. She seemed like one of those pitiful little waifs from a third world but the Dr said she was healthy.

My son was only 5 lbs and 10 oz. 3 weeks early. I'm 5'3 and daddy is 6'3. I hope he will be atleast average height.

Well It's not just You and your husbands height but also other ancestors. My son's father is about 5ft 8 inches and I'm 5ft 6in. My father has tall people in his family. If you son is thriving then that is what is important.
