The minimum wage is one indicator of public welfare. I live in Indonesia, the minimum wage in the area where I live about $90. It's not sufficient to fulfill the need of living. How about in your country ? The minimum wage is felt already meet the need of decent living ?

The minimum wage in my country is slightly higher than what you get in Indonesia. While it is not enough for a decent living, another raise would be disastrous for some companies. Employees often prefer being able to continue with their jobs rather than be retrenched. If the wages continue to go high, companies would be forced to downsize or close down. Only the bigger companies can afford to pay for the wage hikes. A high minimum wage in a country is also a deterrent for foreign investments because there are other countries in Southeast Asia that have lower rates. Many foreign countries outsource jobs to Southeast Asia because of the low prevailing wages. This has given people more job opportunities and have had a positive effect on the economy.

I think, the employees prefer to use outsourcing system to avoid payment of allowance, and making it profitable, low expenditure, and labor in difficult situation, very hard to get decent job to decent living

The minimum wage in all countries are not enough to make a living. In fact, countries with minimum wage have higher unemployment rate than those countries without minimum wage.
