What are the negative effects of rebonded hair?

I have been thinking for quite sometime now if I would get my shoulder length hair re-bonded or not. What are the negative effects of getting one's hair done? Isn't it that our hair are made up of dead cells so getting a rebond would not effect dramatically..

If there is any negative effect, that would be the cost of getting your hair rebonded and the yearly session you'd have to go through if you still want a straight hair. Normally rebonded hair will last 6 months to one year, depending on the person's hair.

First you have to make sure that the one who will rebond your hair is someone or a salon that has a good reputation. That will avoid having regrets in the end. You won't lose your hair dear, but will have falling hairs. If you go to cheap salons think twice, you have to make sure that even if they're cheap their service to customers are good. At least try to ask someone, maybe a friend or relative who have their hairs treated there.

Yes getting rebonded hair is costly because of the treatment you are paying and the yearly session you are getting to maintain a good looking hair. I am concerned if I get my hair rebonded if i would experience hair loss because of the treatment I am getting in my hair. At the same time I would like to acheive a good looking hair.

Yes i know that it is not natural. I am asking for the bad side of it. It would be nice if you could tell me the negative of it. I am trying to weigh my options here.

if your hair is already straight and silky naturally i suggest don't get a rebond anymore. although some girls with straight still are not contented and want it to be perfectly straight so they get a rebond. i think the chemicals in the rebonding formula can cause effects on the hair..if the procedure is not properly it can cause damage or ruin the hair..also we must be able to take proper care of a rebonded hair to make the hair appear beautiful and not damaged as a result. there are certain regimens to care for a rebonded hair. if your hair is already naturally straight and beautiful, better stick to it and care for it properly to enhance it and don't result to chemicals to make it perfect it might be damage as a result.

hi..i've been going to salon and get my hair rebonded for years already..i think the only negtive effect you'll have is that it really cost a lot for maintenance..because the chemicals damage our hair..so we need spa treatments to remain our hair healthy..and be sure that you're not allergic to the chemical, if you don't want to lose your hair..

Yes I know for a fact that getting my hair done would cause me much especially if you go for a salon who ranks in the top list of best salons usually they ask you for 5000k. Ok so the chemicals would add to the damage hair. I am afraid to have my hair rebonded because it might destroy my natural straight hair. And it would be costly cause you have to redo it after 6 mos or a year.

I have friend that already rebonded her hair since 2006. She never had problem with her hair. Having rebonded give stright look but for me it is not natural.

Me too I have friends who have rebonded hair, it looks nice on them and manageable. I love their hair when they get quality rebond because it would look close to natural and noticeably nice. But I am a bit afraid if I might get hair loss if I have my hair rebonded. We have family problems on alopecia as one gets old.

Well, think about it. Any hair undergoing for chemicals are not good. You may find its beautiful but doing it lots will make you hair damage big time. Hair rebond ingredients have strong ingredients on it and it is advisable that the one who will do it your hair is a trained and expert hair stylist. There are reports that are already bad cases about hair rebonding but still people do it because simply its " beautiful ".
Maybe you can try some natural hair treatment like hot oil. Or try hair spa with your loved ones, just massaging your scalp is already good for your hair.
