Oh yes. I tried MLM. Patience is important if you want to be successful in this business. There's no easy money.
!Work smart, not hard" You can ask your friends to sell the products for you. You can share the profit with them. It's like give and take. If they're interested to join in your MLM, that's great.

Which MLM business is a major factor and the compensation plan is important to know... First and foremost do NOT join a MLM unless you want to buy the products they offer... If you do not like the products you will not sell them well and then you will be wasting money.
Then you want to see the compensation plan and see if there is really money to be made. What bonuses and percentages they have. I looked at a number of MLMs and finally chose doTERRA. They are an international company and the highest quality essential oils for natural healing and healthier and happier living, along with other products! Plus the compensation plan gives 20% on new enrollees that gives you a good starting bonus. They also have amazing %'s.
It is true that money will not just grow fast, but if you get friends like you that also want to use the oils and sign under you and they get friends, etc... The money will come soon enough. My first month I spent $165 and made $65. Over time I started making more a month.
In order to make money in any MLM you must place a monthly order ( after all you are a customer) so it important to see how much they expect you to buy a month. Most I have seen is $75-100. Doterra is 100PV ~$100.
So before you join check to see if you like the products and are happy with the compensation plan.

I was involved with an excellent company that said it was not really a MLM business because I think just like used car sales companies there are some shabby ones in mlm. The models are different and the systems employed don't work in practice the same way. Multi level marketing is funny that way. The basics are the same however in that if you make the other person makes and really that applies to alot of revenue sharing strategies.
Ok, what does all that mean to you and me. It means nothing until you try to convince someone else that your product, company and way of doing business is a good one. Call it marketing, selling, introducing, educating anything you want but that is the hardest part! I can not over emphasize that part of mlm my friend, people are not always easy to convince or even listen to you. - plus there are some not so great companies out there, so other ones are better
That is the job.
