Why do people need life insurance?

Yes, I have my own life insurance. I had it when I am still single. My motivation to get it - to have money for my wake & burial If I die ahead of my parents. I no longer want to be a burdened to my parents & siblings when the time comes. I wanted them to give me a decent burial & not let them think where to get the money - my life insurance company will provide for it. Now, I am married, I will just include my husband & future kids as my beneficiary.

I do not have life insurance. Cant affod it. At one time i used to have enough $$$ in my savings account to pay for cremation. Unfortnutly that had to be used when i moved about one and a half years ago. Im trying to get that back.
