In our office everybody is using the Laptops. Everybody has the liberty to access the laptops and use the internet. But from this tuesday onwards one of the Laptops is missing and it became a very big issue in the office. We consider this as a theft. How can we identify this culprit? How can we prevent such incidents in the future. Any body have any solutions

i think your office must make a special room for placing a laptop..
and when must enter that special room, there are more check into people who want enter the room
and it can increase the safety for the laptop and can reduce from an unknown people who can access the office laptop

Theif can only be caught if that laptop was registered on its company site, you complain about it too them if you know the product code or number. Thief will be caught the next time he runs internet.

Actually I have heard of this type of situation happening a lot of places where people work, and unless there is Video or something that can help pinpoint down who might have done it, this would be hard to prove. Maybe they need to keep a better eye and watch people, especially any Newer ones to prevent something like this from happening there again.

lucky for you guys! Back in our office, we weren't even allowed to bring our mobile phones. Solution to that, don't bring your laptop with you so those thieves won't get anything.
