I'm working as a tutor online. Yet, i have a lot of spare time. I would like to spend my time on mylot since facebook is blocked and prohibited. I hate it when I a not doing anything. I get bored when I just surf the net about something that is related to my work. I just need to do mylotting.
I haven't done mylot for quite a long time. Because I got addicted to facebook. lol
But now, I'm working as an online tutor and I have time to do mylotting.

i wish we have online access (its ok without facebook with me) so i can do mylotting as well. We have plenty of time to do other stuff during working mode but we're dealing with sensitive information in the office so they blocked everything. We cant even use the calculator. If only we have online access, am pretty sure am goin to hit the payout amount every month hehehe..

Hi Tess... You're luvky... You got access to internet at office... The place where I work they've banned many sites and FB is on top of that list.. MyLot is banned too, but I have overcome that. So when I'm doing nothing I am on myLot... :-).
It does a lot good to be busy than getting involved in dirty office politics... Thank you!

Well, I am glad that you have some time to do mylotting even while working. I think there is nothing wrong there for as long as it does not hamper your work. Spending you free time with mylot is definitely rewarding and a learning experience. Best to you and hope that you can continue to be here.

I think Facebook is not allowed at work because we are suposed to work at work ehehe
But i personally believe that if used with moderation could give employees some relaxation and distraction for limited time and be used as some kind of a break, thus being more productive afterwards

I think in most of the office computers social networking sites like Facebook and some other sites are blocked. I think this is done to remove addictions of such sites on workers during the office time.
I think there are some methods to unblock it.
Does any one know it ?

Fb get blocked in your country or just in your office?
If it's only blocked by your office, you can use your mobile to get access with it.Even it won't as fun as like on pc, but it's better rather then nothing.

I think disabling FB access was the right step at the institutions and large companies that promote quality and professionalism. I also heard that many companies complain about the workings of their employees. Many companies have reduced the quality of their work, because most employees do not work, but they were busy accessing social networking sites that was most visited.
I hope MyLot will not be blocked, because I am very happy with myLot, besides myLot add to my money. Thank you.

Hello tess_quinain: It needs a very progressive organization and mutual trust between employers & their employees for a non restrictive work culture. To be fair to employers [by no means any unfairness to you ], they find it difficult to either monitor or repose trust in their employees. And not all employees are known to be responsible in discharging their duties to the employer. As a result, genuine people like you will have to live with uncalled for restrictions.
You may convince your bosses [if they are curious that myLot is a place for very informative & stimulating discussions. And continue to contribute your wisdom!

Wow. That's great. For me, mylot is more fun compared to facebook. It's just that facebook has lots of user around the world and is used to communicate our friends and relatives in so many ways. Mylot is different because of the different benefits we can get from it. In computer lab at our school, facebook because everybody likes to use facebook if we are left in the room. While mylot, it is not blocked. Only 4 of my us knows about mylot and only two of us are active. hehe. I tried to invite them to mylot but it seems they are addicted with the games on facebook. hehe. It's a nice discussion. Happy mylotting.

Same here..Apart from that all media streaming sites have been blocked. Oh well, what can we do? Since we are under the policy of our employers. I agree with you, boredom really strikes when it's all about work or when you are left with nothing to work except stare at the papers or the monitor. Haha! I just hope too they will not block mylot, but if it happens, so clear to me already what's happening. Oh my!

Hi tess!
Long time no see!Hope you always fine~(^^)
Since you can't log in to facebook then why not spend the time in here?? Lots of company does not allowed their staff to surf on the facebook while working because the facebook has a great influence to distract one concentration. I am agree if they blocked the site. Don't worry I am sure you still can be on facebook at home.(^^)

It's quite normal for employer, management or organizations to block Facebook at the current scenario. Employees have been caught spending their working hours on Facebook which is actually affecting the productivity of all organizations. For the sake of the development of an organization and a nation. block Facebook is wise. Unless the organization needs Facebook for its business conduct.
Of course if you ask me, I think it's fine if the employee spend a little free time during working hours to surf the net or FB. However, not many employee realizes that and they spend too much time on FB which is affecting their job performance.
And no, I don't think they will block Mylot, at least for the time being. But I believe if we use these social network and services the right way, we would not be causing trouble to the organization that we work for and ourselves.
