How to be yourself

I believe as human beings we all have gifts to share. Unfortunately, modern day schools do not teach our children how to hone their skills/gifts. It's often not until we are older do we realize what it is that we really want to do with our lives. What is it that is your greatest gift? How do you make the most people smile? What brings you the most joy? What kind of lifestyle do you want to obtain? All of these things are important to consider on our quest to be ourselves.
Work hard at something you love and the world will repay you. It takes a lot of faith and determination because it is not the path of the masses. That is why everyone will tell you what you can't do before they've even heard you finish your statement. Not only that, look at how people throughout history have often been outcast for defining themselves or a subject too eloquently. History has not always rewarded these pioneers and as time and technology progress the information is more quickly available to the masses which gives each of us an opportunity for empowerment.
If we all shared our gifts and the things that make us smile as part of our means to our ends we can live more free today!

I'm one of those kids who did not learn how to give gifts meaningfully. Now, i want to try and be generous so that i can share my blessings with others and make them happy.

Yes , I think so too , schools should have more encouragment of what the kids would like to do or what they like most. I am on the 40s now and just realized what I like to do most, so , in my study years I headed for the wrong way. I think parents too should not force the kids to study something that they dont like , they have to search inside the kid what is he good for , so, this way he can be sucessful as an adult and have more opportunities, at the same time they can enjoy life.
