I prefer new ones.
The used cars have a big problem we don't know what kind of problems the car have, how the car was drived, and so many questions, but there are also nice business's with used cars. The cars are a question of lucky...

I prefer to purchase a good used car. Now don't get me wrong, new cars are great too.. BUT, being that they depreciate up to 30% once you drive them off the lot makes it a very unwise investment. I'd rather invest thousands in something that actually appreciates in value.

I just bought a car couple of months ago. Its a 98 white honda accord and i got it for $5000. I paid in cash. I didnot want to go for a loan.
But let me tell you... I am paying soo much for insurance, gas, workshop and all misc things.. i sometimes feel that i should not have bought a car and sometimes think about the comfort i enjoy while riding it. Ofcourse, thats only on the day it runs without any trouble.
I had couple of bad times with the car and many good times also.

While buying a new car is really nice, the fact that they lose so much value the second you purchase it makes it not worth it to me.
I've had one brand new car in my life. All others I purchased used.

If it's in good condition why not? But beyond 10 years old model no.
