Crucial week for the Citizens

As we know, City has really gone through real test this weekend. They got beaten by Chelsea last week and they will facing the "on fire" team of Arsenal this weekend. If they unable to win, United will take first position since only two points apart between them. United will play with QPR who really under par, they have gain back confidence level after crushed wolverhampton by 4-1. City job will be hard, looking at Van persie performance who able to score on almost every game gunners play. Although having home advantage but they must be careful this time. What do you think? Can Mancini team secure their first position or experience first lost at home for this season from Arsenal?

Yes Indeed a very crucial week, as the wounds of Champions league defeat would not have healed when their aura of invincibility in the premier league was shattered at the Bridge. But I still think they will have too much for Arsenal this week at home. Though they lost to Chelsea, they did play well and a loss at the Bridge though hurting, will be forgotten if they beat Arsenal this weekend. The premier league is not a sprint but a marathon and City must put their disappointments behind them and get back to business this week if they need to win the tittle. But for City to do that they need to first stop the goal machine RVP, which teams are finding it extermely tough to do. He is Arsenal's most potent weapon and if they can shackle him and also prevent Walcott from pinging the balls into the D they should crusie through as City's attck is for sure going to score against Arsenal defence. So I expect a tough game with 1-1 half time and Cty to win 3-1 full time.

yes, I am soccer fans too my friends.. And I observed there are about six to ten people also love EPL and we are having quality discussion every week..I like to talk about football with people who understand and love this game as well.. I hope will continue like this.. Back to discussion, City seems would win this game but not that easy, goal difference would be minimum.. I think less than two goals.. I enjoy to watch match with more goals which shows open game from both sides..

@adhyz82- I am a huge football fanatic and am so happy I found this forum to talk football. Both my bros are Arsenal fans and are going for your scoreline ( I too would love that score line as I am a Man utd fan). But my gut feel is City wil win. Hope I am wrong ;)

I would say it is a crucial week for both the clubs. For Man City because they need to bounce back from their loss to Liverpool. For Arsenal it is important because they need to prove their mettle against the bigger clubs this season and remain in the title chase even if remotely. As an Arsenal fan, I pick Arsenal to win the match 2-1, with Vermalean scoring a crucial goal off a corner :). Cheers! Ram

i think RVP can be hero again for Arsenal.. it`s important for Arsenal for keeping their good consistency... as long as they can give the spot for RVP find his finishing touch, it`s good for Arsenal..

well, I am agree with both of you..RVP is the central for Arsenal playing scheme.. If City can do something to mark him, maybe Arsenal will go back with empty handed.. However, seems not easy to mark him...this going to be tough match..2-1 or 1-0 could be final score..but the winner still under question..

Despite the recent hiccups, I think Man City is still in good shape. But one noticeable thing about them is this. They tends to fade out after a good start. Like against Chelsea, they went ahead within 2 mins of the start. One would have feared for Chelsea then. But they fade off as the games wears on. It could be the number of games that they were asked to play at the moment. As pointed out, if they lost to Arsenal and Man Utd to win theirs, the Devils will go on top. But all is not lost.

well, you are right.. Lost against chelsea could be slip for City only..City still shows their strength over most of the team they played this half of season..However, not working against Chelsea and Napoli as well.. Arsenal will try as hard as they can to beat City and move to the top of the table..

Match of the big four member are always eagerly awaited, It must be interesting to watch. City be a strong team at this time, eve though they lost to Chelsea yesterday, I guess, it's not big problem. Defeat is a valuable learning to be mature...because by understanding the weakness of themselves, then the team will play better. But I remain convinced That Manchester City would win

well my friend both of you have good points.. this going to be wonderful and tight match looking at the performance and history of match between those two club.. I think they are deserved to be in final four at the end of the season..But today seems City will do their best to maintain their point gap with United...
