It's been for months I've been away from home...Not that easy but have to do so as my calling is to be here in a place too far away from home.Have to bear the longing to my family and to my beloved coz in 2 yrs time we will still be seeing each other.Yeah!its 2 yrs still, that is how long I will be away from them, from home.Nevertheless I'm enjoying,I'm having fun despite the stress, pressure and so lots of negative vibes at work. Have you been away from home for too long?

I had to be away from home, many many years ago. It was my husband and child (who was still a kid then) who goes to Manila, to visit me. My work was in Manila because i was also trying at the same time to be able to get a job abroad. But after about 4 years, i have to give it up and go home to the province to be with them forever. Thus, i had a new job and from then on started my way of getting closer to our child, who i noticed became a estranged from me. Sad , but i have to accept that it will be that way, because it was just her and her dad at home, during those times when i was away in a far city working. Thank God, i was able to bridge the barrier now.

Oh my God! I was just thinking about my parents when I found this post. You know, bestie, I am also working far from our home, from my parents. I seldom visit my parents because of my very hectic schedule. I am sure my parents will be very happy because this is the first Christmas that I'm going to stay at home since 2006. I will be going home on Monday so that I'll have more than enough time to clean our house. My parents can no longer clean the whole house because they are already old. They can only sweep the floor everyday but it's not enough. I need to do general cleaning before Christmas. I am sure I need few days to finish cleaning all furnitures, rooms, and appliances. I also need to give our three dogs a bath. Whew! What a very exhausting vacation!

I have some good news, bestie! I just received an email from admin. The already removed my other post. If you can still remember, I posted yesterday that I wasn't aware my post was submitted twice. What a very fast resolution!

i miss home too. After i graduated from college, i landed on a job based out of town. Its just an hour flight but it'll cost me thousands to get home during Christmas or birthdays or anniversaries. I miss the place. Ive been working here for more than three years now but i still love my place back home. I feel so at ease when im there. I planned pn moving back home earlier this year but its just not doable for me. I mean the salary, i pay on my bills now and i sometimes help my mother pay some of hers at home. What im going to earn there is just half of what i earn here. Well, hoping to back home twice next year coz i only do it once per year since. :(

My longest time away from home was 1 year, and I know how you feel, it gets lonely sometimes but I always try to call them everytime when I have the chance, or have a chat with them via facebook. Things we do to let our family have a pleasant life. I know they would do the same if they had the chance Happy Holidays to you ;)

Chatting with your family thru internet really helps a lot to lessen the sadness of being away from your family. And Facebook is very useful in the situation that we are far from our them. I also use Skype and Yahoo to make a video call to my sister which is outside the country.

I haven't tried of being away from home for more than a month. I have tried living away from home but it was only less than a week. I think I really missed home even it is just for few days. hahaha. Maybe it's because I'm not used to it.
