It's has been 15 years since Titanic was filmed. But I think there's no movie that greater than Titanic. Actually Titanic it's not my most favorite movie I've ever watched, but honestly I think that Titanic is the greatest movie ever made.
Ok, I think The Lord of The Rings and Avatar is some examples of others great movie. And I like both films more than Titanic. But I think that the 2 movies can't beat Titanic-making greatness. Because Titanic it's made in 1996, and at that year I think the technology of film making is still not as sophisticated as now..
So, do do you think there's greater movie than Titanic?

Lord of the Rings but that's just my opinion, in lenght and quality I mean, I don't know what you are refering to. I see you like more Lotr than Titanic
I bought the blu ray and saw the making of, I really think Lotr is the greatest, I was surprised with how many miniatures, scenarios and clothes they made! I don't think Titanic is bigger.
Happy day dear.

Yeah The Lord of The Rings is so Great. I like the movie so much, and it becomes one of my greatest movie collection. But why I think Titanic is the greatest, because it's made several years before LOTR, when the technology wasn't sophisticated yet. And Titanic hold the title as movie with the highest income for years, before it's beaten by Avatar.. But overall, I like LOTR more than Titanic..

Yeah I have watched it too. And I agree with you that The Reader is so touching. The ending of the film is tragic and unpredictable. But I think The Reader is too simple, both in storyline and making.. But overall, I like The Reader..

I must agree on this one with you rianhid. Titanic is the most successful and greatest romance movie ever made. I don't think there will be another epic romance and disaster film in the near future to beat this one.
I don't look upon it as just another classic romantic tale but as a symbol of generation of all time. I hate to admit this but the climax scene made me shed some tears. It has been years since its release but still can be watched again and again.

there is no doubt about the greatness of movie Titanic.but in my view Titanic is great movie in romantic category there are some more movies like Gladiator ,The hurt locker ,Avatar, Lord of Rings, Oceans series and not to forget about The Harry Potter series and X man series films ,these are also very good movie, but if you asking from to choose only one movie then it would be very difficult to tell.
But the beauty of Titanic is awesome ,i watch Titanic more than 25 times and every time i watch the movie i just enjoyed it completely .

Titanic is the best movie ever made. It has all the elements to be considered as the all time best. The acting is brilliant, Leonardo di Caprio deserves an Oscar Award. This movie made Leonardo di Caprio a certified box-office actor. Kate Winslett is has a remarkable performance. The director, James Cameron have proven time and time again that he can make a block buster movie anytime he wants. The story is the best love story ever told. The story is simple; "Love is all about sacrificing, and love will come when you least expect it."

Yes! "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" (the martial arts choreography was the best to date), the first three "Star Wars" films (the last three don't count), "Crash" (it covered racism in Los Angeles and in America), "The Princess Bride" (I don't have to say anything for this one, the film speaks for itself), Pixar's "Up" (beautiful CGI movies, I cried watching this one), "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (great for Halloween and Christmas), "Coraline" (animation and story genius), just about any Monty Python Movie ("Life of Brian" being my personal favorite), anything by Hayao Miyazaki (no really, I have yet to find a bad film for this creator), and just about anything Disney.
I did not like "Titanic" because it wasn't historically accurate (That's a big thing for me because I love History), and it was way too long to be a movie. "Titanic" was completely over-rated. It may have grossed more money than any other film in the box office, but that didn't mean that it was the greatest film ever made.
I did not like "Avatar" because I didn't like the story. I have seen that story before so many other films, and James Cameron thought that he was being unique when he created this movie, when in actuality, it had been done before. I liked the CGI animation and effects, but I have still seen better.
