pedestrians and drivers!

so the law stats that pedestrians have the right of way.. so why do most drivers not care. I walk a lot and i also drive. I personally stop for pedestrians when i drive.. so why don't most people? I almost got hit 3 or 4 times to day wile i was out. one of witch seen me and sped up as i passed in front of them. what is that see how close we can get with out killing some one? I do admit i read and walk wile i am walking alone but i stop reading and pay attention when i cross the street. I also have talked on the cell wile driving once or twice because of emergence but i normal refuse to and i wait or pull over there are lives at stake when operating a car. so why are people so reckless. i learned my lesson i well not talk or text wile driving and i do stop for people to cross the street weather they are in a cross walk or not. It is the respective thing to do also keeps lives safe. What do you do?

It appears that most people are too selfish and they act if they could care less of others safety and rights. They believe that their car is soooo BIG which pedestrians have to give way to him or her on the road. When something does happens, they blame it on the pedestrians to not watch out for cars. Hey, the road belongs to everybody you know

Yea I know but they teach you in drivers ed that a pedestrian has right of way.

that is true. even in main. you think it would be better here but it's not to much better when it comes to drivers.

hi,
people now a days are reckless when it comes to driving,especially in a pedestrian,sometimes the stop light is on red but there are some vehicle who beat it and still go,that is why every time i across the street i will make sure first that all vehicle are stop during red light.
