I get very upset with drunks. And that is anyone that is drunk even if it's there very first time getting drunk. It seems only one percent of drunk people can maintain a postive fun safe and responsible attitude while drinking. The 99percent end up fighting, falling over, being loud and obnoxious and drinking and driving and not caring about anything or taking responsibility for anything.
What infuriates me is parents that drink go to get thier kids while drunk and thing that it's okay. It's not okay to have that around your kids much less drink and drive w/your kid's in the car. If you want to hurt yourself drive but don't take your kids too. And I am not for big hardcore house parties with the kid's at home. Maybe the parents can maintain much of the control and make it safe as possibly for all the kids but it's the other drunk people that you have to worry about. I just don't like drunkeness anymore. I used to babysite and have to get sober enough to take care of anyone and I've made some dumb decions in my past with drinking but Im over it.

Anyone who drinks and gets behind the wheel of a car, even if it's the first time needs to have their license taken away. If it's their first offense then I say one year. If it's a second offense then I say five years. They need to make harsher laws for people who drink & drive because it's not just their own lives that they are putting at risk but it's also anyone else that just happens to be on the same road or street as them.

I was thinking the same thing. In fact, they should also have to have a device put in their car at their expense - that won't let them drive if they've had even a drop of booze.
what stinks is that people can get DUI after DUI. I knew a guy in TX who had 15 DUIs before he finally did any jail time - 18 months. Sure enough he came out and started all over again. It's amazing that he's never hurt or killed any one.

When you drink in your own home, that is one thing. Granted, it might not be the best thing for your health if you do it heavily, and it is likely to cause your family some form of embarrassment as you stumble around. But then again, it is in the comfort of your own home, so really do what you want to do. You are not out and about.
Getting behind the wheel of the car when drunk, is when you lose the right to do what you feel is necessary with your drinking. Let's face it, there are enough driving hazards on most road when people who are completely sober. That is just really one of those times where I lose any sympathy I have. And likely, the only people who are going to be punished are those who are innocent. The stupid drunk drivers really never get punished.

Hey it is good that you stopped drinking and you are now aware of problems do you this habit.. when people drink they do not stop at their limit and then make noise or do wrong things... Drinking in its way is not a bad thing but if becomes bad when you overdo it and you get addicted to it.. I hope people learn their lesions soon and stop drinking over the limit..

"If you want to hurt yourself drive but don't take your kids too." I agree with most of what you say here, but I have to strongly disagree with this particular statement. The fact is, if a person gets behind the wheel of a car (or truck, etc.) drunk, then he or she puts the lives of everyone else in danger, even if they are not on the road with them. I don't know how many times I have heard of a drunk driver killing someone walking on the sidewalk (not even on the side of the road) or driving off the road into a house or another vehicle, etc.

Oh ya definetly. Anyone that drinks and makes the decision to drive wether it's with children in the car, loved ones or friends either way they are making a decison to put all other lives in jeapordy. Now even if one thinks it's okay to drink and drive alone again they are still putting everyone's life at risk just the same.

I hate those drunkards who do not know how to handle themselves. If you get into this thing, you should know the outcome of this. It is very hard to handle them too! Once they get drunk, they say things which is not meant to be said. That they feel like saying it and have the confidence because of being drunk. And after a while they will realize what they have done. Poor drunkards.

It is a fact that the main cause of road accidents is driving in drunk mood. At the same time, one of the main interests of drunk persons is drive and travel. Such persons are bringing threat of accidents to himself as well as others. Driving in drunk state is punishable by law, but drunk persons never bother about law or its possible punishments.

I think that your one percent estimate is overgenerous. That would mean that one in every hundred drinkers are tolerable. I think that it is more like .1 percent, one in every thousand that are responsible.

Very true. I think kid's see the fun adults & celebrities have drinking and assume that it's just what they are to do when they are old enough to start drinking. For most they start at the teenager years which is really sad as they are not mature enough at all to make that type of decision of drinking and the problems that come with it.

It's good that you've get over it
Most people who started drinking won't stop because they believe that it's what adult should do. I'm totally not agree with that. I'm almost 24 years old but I still don't drink because I know they are bad for our health, bad for relationships and bad for people's safety. I prefer to drink fresh juices as they are healthier.
However, in some serious formal occasions, I would drink a little for the sake of all
