During my first day of work, I usually got bored maybe because people there knew the job well so that they will make it and wont asked for somebody to do the job. But when they resigned one by one, all the work load was given to me and since then I am now complaining why I am too busy.

I know how you feel, when we are not feeling challenged, the job can be very tedious. I think you should find a better job and if you find one, you quit your actual job.

Hi Danzylop,
Firstly I think you're lucky to have found employment. Many people are jobless these days and I suspect many people would love to get your job. Since you're new on the job you should persevere for a period before you tell your boss or superior that you wish to have a more challenging job. Perhaps they are testing you out to see your attitude towards work. Anyway whatever you say you must give it sufficient thought and do it diplomatically. They may or may not accede to your request. Then only can you consider your options on whether to stay or leave. But before leaving you should consider carefully and preferably try to get another job before you quit.

Hi Danzylop
Before you have started with that job I'm pretty sure you had an orientation, meaning more or less you already have an idea on the kind of job you'll be into. You are so lucky to have a job. Not everybody's blessed enough to have one. There are so many people out there who are jobless. Just be thankful that you have one. Congratulations! :)

I can so relate. That means you should start looking for a new job. You should pursue something that interests you or you might not be able to do a good job at that work.

If you will be able to love your job then it will feel like it is just a hobby. Doing the things that you want to do. Make yourself get along well with your co-workers and befriend them. Have a nice chit chat with them even after office hours. In that way, you will feel like wanting to go to work everyday and even render an over time.
Or if you want, i do have a very special offer for you that you can work part time. since you are here in the Philippines and Manila is a very accessible place from the main office that we have. You will just have to invest a veryyyyyyyyyy small amount for this. It will also take a little bit of effort at first then just sit loose and enjoy the rewards after.
If you are interested please send me a private message. This is my first response for such a very long time since i have not been active with MyLot.

Hello Danzylop,
I would suggest you to still wait there for some more time as in many organisations it happen they won't give much of the important and tough work to the new comers may be once you get a bit old you will get the tougher task and then you will enjoy your job better.

I hope you will try to just be glad you have a job. Lots of people wish they could have a boring job, just because it is a job that pays them money to live on. Maybe if you do a great job on your boring job, then maybe you will be entrusted to a better job later on.

We have the same feeling. I am bored with my job and I am more interested in working online especially in blogging. I am more energetic in money making online thatn my offline work though working offline gives me more money.

Try deleting the database. That'll get your work interesting :P No but kidding aside, there are times when I can totally relate to what you're saying. My boss' quite open with things such as this that's why I can freely tell him to give me another job/activity to do :D
But if your boss is not as open-minded as mine, I think it's high time to look for a new job. Getting "Stagnant" on a task which you don't enjoy decreases productivity as well as chances on getting a new job.

With that mindset, danzylop, I don't think you will last long in that job. Encoding is an easy task but it is harder to love that job.
If I were your boss and I do know how you feel right now, I will have doubts on the accuracy of your output.
Judging by your profile pic, if this is so, you're young. If you continue to just want to go home instead and sleep, man, you won't go far with life! Don't expect that you're gonna have a good life in the end.
As a friend, I suggest that you change that attitude. You may have above-average typing skill as an encoder but it takes more than that. Acquire for yourself dedication and love for work no matter how lowly you think it is. However, strive to learn new things more so that you can help your way up and be able to accept bigger responsibilities as your career advances.

Please work for a longer time so that you will know some more about your work. Maybe you will get promoted, who knows!

yeah..we must be lazy going to work and have no spirit if we don't like our job or everything we do. but I think you should wait for a moment to watch and see what will happen next cos you are still new in that job. Maybe the progression will be very good for you and your career. something looks bad in the beginning does not always ends bad too. Experience told me this..LOL..just try to get involved with your colleagues and enjoy your job..you want it for the first time and it shouldn't be that bad, rite?

Bored, I don't think you can get bored ever if you like what you are doing. You are new to the office so it may be difficult for you to adjust at first. But try to make some friends, chit chat with others, you time will be passes so soon that you will ask for more time in a day.

That's a perfectly normal feeling that I think we all have from time to time. Sometimes my job seems dull and I would rather be doing something fun or entertaining. I guess that's why they call it a job. I always try to remind myself that I need my job in order to live and eat and that usually keeps me going.

Just think the possibility of not getting a job ever again after you resign from that work and you will probably regret it for the rest of your life. Think also that many haven't got a job and find it hard getting employed, I hope that you treasure what you have and do your work properly.

If you are getting bored, why not take another task that is different from the one that you are currently doing? With this, you'll soon find yourself learning a lot and being promoted. Promotion means additional salary and new challenge for you :)
