It was a pretty cute movie- the scenery was wonderful, the music was really nice, the dancing was good and the actors had really great chemistry. I couldn't believe it ranked 11th in the worst sequel of all time- it's not even a sequel, it's a prequel. It stars Romola garai and Diego Luna, I just love both actors, they looked so cute together... I love both Dirty Dancing movies though. This was a fun movie with nice moments of its own.. what do you think of this?

I saw this movie, but I missed the end of it because I was tired. and yes, I agree with you it is a fun movie, I thought it would be bad. but the people who rank movies are looking at it in a different way, in artistic way. what are the other worsth sequels in this list? can you give me the link for this list?
have fun.

I have actually been planning on watching this movie after having watched and re-watched the first one. Dirty Dancing that starred Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey is such a classic and making a prequel, sequel or a remake can always go two ways. More often than not, these movies tend to be compared to the original especially if they have made such a great mark in the history of movie entertainment. It's just the way things are. Still, I'm curious to watch this film and see if it's as fun as the original one. But I really doubt it if it would go par with the first one. It may be fun but that's just it.

I liked Dirty Dancing best. So sad that he is gone now. He was quite a dance and a real man. I loved seeing him as a woman in To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything Julie Newmar. What an actor!

I haven't seen it but having a prequel or sequel in Havana for a story initially based in the Catskills doesn't make sense to me. I thought the original was good enough. From my understanding, the late Patrick Swayze studied dance before becoming an actor. I didn't realize at the time that Jennifer Grey was Joel Grey's daughter. It seems like Grey went full circle by being on Dancing with the Stars. Makes me with that Swayze was still alive and that he could go on the show.
