True. That is the word. You would have seen or heard that when you were younger and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series was shown, they called each other 'dudes' and they called a female reporter named Ariel "Duddette". hehehe
Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

My best friend and I always call each other "dude" even though we're both women...of course, both our personalities are very masculine. I have heard "chick" used to describe women, but if anyone were to call me that I wouldn't care for it and would probably ask them to refer to me using something else. I find both terms disrespectful if you're using them to refer to strangers or other people; I actually like being referred to as "dude", though, especially by those who know me. I think it depends on the person and whether or not they are comfortable with the terms. I wouldn't expect anyone to know that I am a woman who likes being called "dude" and loathes the word "chick!"
I have also just heard the term "females" being used to describe women, and I don't care for that, either. (I wouldn't care for the term "males" in the opposite sense, but I rarely, if ever, hear that.) It sounds like you're taking the humanity out of people...I could very well use female and male to describe animals, etc. I don't know...it just doesn't feel right.
On a last note, I have heard "dudette" as a direct correlation to dude. The "ette" is a little too frilly and feminine for me, though, but others might like it. I wouldn't put gal or madam on the same level as dude, though. Both gal and madam are proper, professional...dude is casual.

Dude word is not present in the dictonary. It is just a slang word. So, I think we can use the same word for Male and female.

I don't know. I never heard of the world "gal" as the opposite of "dude".
Both doesn't sound very friendly to me, but might be I am way too old fashioned?
