Hey guys when well i first started using myLot i deicided to give cashgopher a try.. But then i didn't like it at all because of pop-ups advertisements so i uninstalled it. Now i was cleaning my computer completely and I had a cashgopher file in my music file.. I click it and boom a virus! Luckily my anti-virus removed it fast... Has anyone else gotten a virus from cashgopher?

Several AV programs report CashGopher as malicious. This is because it contains code which contacts the CashGopher website. Since this is what it is supposed to do, it's hardly surprising! CashGopher is NOT malicious (and nor is a similar program, GomezPeer). It does NOT contain a virus (and nor does every warning from your AV program relate to an actual virus or trojan).

Maybe you might be right owlwings i don't be to dirty the reputation of Cashgopher i just don't want none of myLot members to suffer any virus and to find out if other members are having the same problem.

But Still Cash Gopher does affect our computer. I have experienced it, the speed decreases and computer hangs sometimes.

Its not a Virus , i have also install Cashgopher in my system when install my antivirus security essential shows its a virus but i have allow to install in the system, and find its not impact my system around 1 month to install this software, but the earning ratio is too low as i earn only $0.006 per day i.e. very less as compare to mylot, as this cashgopher is related to mylot admin, so now i thing to reinstall from my system..

I have discovered that I am earning money a lot faster from Cash Gopher than I am from My Lot.

Thats one reason why I do not join programs that require us to download their software!!! I did not join cashgopher but did join another program with popups and the same thing happened to me. I am done with downloads, no matter who the company is. Popups are so annoying aren't they?

I have used cashgopher and never had any problems with it.. so virus issues.. or slow computer... the only problem I had was low earnings from it.. so I uninstalled it.. I think cashgopher is meant to be used on the computer with good processing speeds and should also have good internet connection speed..

Stay away from anything that installs something on our computer. Unless you are an expert you can never tell what the program is doing in the background. And if the antivirus gives some alert message then things can be worse. So avoid installing programs from untrusted sources.

I encountered this a week ago. I think my Windows Antivirus or Firewall flagged cashgopher as a potential malware. I just uninstalled it from my system and wait until cashgopher resolves this issue.

I have to say that I never got a virus from cash goper, but I don't have much experience with this tool. As you, I installed, used for a little while and I didn't liked it. So, I deleted it from my computer (at least I think it was deleted). After saw this thread, I'll check if there's anything from cash goper in my files.
