Yesterday, I have dinner with my colleague. One person ask the executive recruiters how he interviews. He said he will look someone's appearance first. Then he give a example: a girl whose neck is short and effect her appearance .He hasn't want to recruit her but she asked three times and have not another person to ask the position. Then he employ her. In his opinion, one's appearance is very important. Could you tell me how do you think about it?

Welcome to Mylot Liumirror! I know that external appearance can be quite trivial for some. If an applicant seems capable of doing the job, then why not? If her job is client-interfacing, perhaps i would think again. If hers is of backroom, i dont see any problem with that. One thing for sure, external appearance has an impact on one's confidence.

facial look also a factor in convincing costumers. The most important part is your public relationship or your mass appeal.

It is sad to note that most people judge as by the way we appear. Though there are those that consider character and personality but appearance is most often given weight. I think we should consider the appearance as a basis for any individual. There are those that may not have a great physical look but definitely has the character and talent to excel.
