I read about this regime alot in beauty magz, that if you want to lose weight drink lime or lemon juice with lukewarm water with a scoop of fibre (optional) every day twice.Has anyone had results following this routine every single day? Does lemon really have a fat burning element?

Yeah, actually I heard this a lot that lemon has the power to burn fat. But never tried it on my own. I think it really works because my mother says it did work on her when she was a little fat in her times. But now she is okay. I think i will try because I also have to loose my weights.

What do you guys think about green herbal tea with slice of lemon without sugar and milk. It's kinda expensive but not too out of budget. It really helps with poor digestion and to detox.I used to drink it about three times a week but if taken everyday it might help contributing to weight loss or am i wrong?

It has been a popular belief that lemon can aid i losing weight. I haven't tried this kind of regimen, but there was this popular diet called "Master Cleanse Diet", that diet comprises of a lemon, maple syrup, and etc and they say that they really lose weight, and oh by the way, all you have to drink is lemon good for 10 days.

As I don't drink tea and coffee any more, I drink 2 or 3 glasses of hot water and lemon juice every day. I can't say it does anything for weight reduction. I think the best way of losing weight is to use a smaller plate at meal times.

Exercise goes without saying but to be really honest- i'm a lazy bum when it comes to physical exercise but i have programmed my inner self to atleast do a certain amount of crunches and dancing exercises per week because like i said, i am lazy. But now that i got confirmation from you guys that lemon really has a powerful effect, maybe it would motivate me to exercise everyday. I also changed/decreased my sugar, salt and fats intake for the last month or so now.Instead of three or four sugar i now take one or none.

Yes, we have been told that lemon juice is good for cough but my sister went to see her doctor and the doctor scold her for taking lemon juice and said that it will make it even worse. It really surprised me. Actually the lesson we should learn here is we should see the doctor first before taking any steps that we might think it is good for our health.(^^)

Dear Friend
My answer to you is a 'yes' and a 'no'. Lime does help to leech out fats from your stomach linings. But taking too much of them can make your muscles weak and painful especially when walking and running. I am speaking from my own experience. A 'yes' answer is that it would be helpful for a short term measure for weight reductions. My best bet to you is to get a mentor who has been naturally thin for ten years or more. Use this mentor closely and try to live his or her similar lifestyle. OK? Thanks! Bro.Joe. GBU

I haven't heard of lemon juice, maybe I should try it for variety. What I drink is a tablespoon each of honey and vinegar, (apple cider or raspberry, not white)in a cup of water with a sprinkle of cinnamon every morning before breakfast and at night before I go to bed.
It doesn't cause you loss a lot of weight and eating right and exercising is also important, but I do notice when I drink this, that I do loss some weight..

I learned about this drink from my daughter, and I started drinking this recently I find that it helps control the appetite, the cravings.Squeeze the jus of a lemon,(add the pulp if you like),1 liter of water(4 cups),sweeten with 3 tablespoons of pure maple syrup and add cayenne pepper (2-3- shakes) .make it as hot as you like it,and drink it all day, some people replace a meal with this .I do not do that since I work out 3 times a week.It also contains a lot of vitamin C

Hello Jphunk: It is an age old belief and a prescription according to an alternative medical science ayurveda in India. Many old timers believed in its virtue and passed it down to their successors to follow. I don't know about the third additive but we add a small spoon of honey as well. In my home, right now, my wife makes this regularly every morning especially for my daughter; daughter has certainly lost quite a bit of fat-of course she follows workout and other diet too. But I guess it must be tried for a long while. If after some time you experience, you may take a call.

I read it also on books about the good effects of lemon. But I have not tried the routine. Maybe if I have time I could try it and see if it works on me. Yes lemon is good for the body because of the Vitamin C it gives us. But Vitamin C is for our immunity. Maybe the fat burning element is due to the lukewarm water. Because when you drink with warm water the fats that you would be ingesting won't tend to solidify. Same process when you put oil in fridge notice that the oil will freeze?.
